"Tell my tale to those who ask. Tell it truly, the ill deeds along with the good, and let me be judged accordingly. The rest... is silence." These were the last words from the Maximal hero, Dinobot. These words were spoken in The Beast Wars episode, Code of Hero. One of the, if not the most memorable of all the episodes in this beloved Transformers sequel series. For it dealt with a Maximal (originally Predacon) who had dealt with his inner demons about doing what the right thing. This quote also pertains to the hero of this story as well. Much like Dinobot in the Beast Wars series, our hero, Bolen, was originally aligned with a more heinous side.

Our story begins in the land of Tificon. It was a land similar to fictional worlds like Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones and Narnia. It was a world filled with fantasy and awe. It was a world filled with creatures that would be found in the world of mythology and lore. While this world deals with many fictional races, our story focuses on only one of them.

The first race is one in which we are all to familiar with. The humans. The first lived in the kingdom of Lapace. Much like many other kingdoms in which we are familiar, it runs on a patriarchy. It had a king, a queen and an heir to the throne, the crowned prince Yolar. The next group of humans, the kingdom of Flintocc, would be best compared to the Neanderthals of yesteryear. Unlike the humans of Lapace, these humans ran by a more might makes right type of mentality. Meaning that anyone can lead, if they are strong enough. The ruler of this group was a brute named Levid. His heir was his first born son, Bolen.

Levid and his people believed in the saying that history favors the victors. With their brute force and tactical prowess, they had felt that they had the right to conquer other kingdoms to make it their own, because they had the ability to do so. Bolen, did not see it that way and felt that they could coexist with the other kingdoms. Levid, had tried his best to make Bolen convince him otherwise. Granted these methods would be seen as more aggressive, but he felt what he was doing was the right thing for his people.

Levid's plan was to gather most of his troops and attack the front half of the castle. While they are distracted by the army in front, the remaining will invade and attack the kingdom from the back. He was so sure in his plan, that he had led Bolen to lead that part of the attack. They had gathered their battle beasts (a creature that resembled a hybridization of an African lion and a grey wolf) and moved out with his men. Begrudgingly, Bolen waited 5 minutes after his father's group to advance forward.

A scout from the Lapace kingdom, spotted Levid's army and sounded the alarm. By doing so, all of the king's men (and the king himself) mounted on their Bulloceros (an animal that resembles a hybridization of a white rhino and a banteng bull), save for the prince and some of his men to protect the prince as well.

Levid advances towards the kingdom and tells King Lure that he has his men out muscled and out maneuvered. If they don't surrender, then they will have no choice but to invade. King Lure tells him that there has always been peace between us. There is no need to have war. King Levid tells them there is no need to have peace when they can take what they can. King Lure tells them that they will have war, if only to teach you a lesson.

One of the men from the Kingdom of Lapace blew a horn made from an old Bulloceros horn in order to initiate the fight. While the main fight continued, Bolen and his men invaded the castle from the rear. While doing so, his men slaughtered everyone in their path, until they got to the prince. One of the men were getting ready to kill him and Bolen piereced him before he had the chance to do so, saying that Yolar's life was his to take.

The other man ran off and allowed the princes to battle with each other. Yolar said, why did you do that? You could have won. To which Bolen said, yes, I would have. However, it would have not been an honorable victory. Yolar said, I didn't realize a man of your stature valued things like honor. To which Bolen said, I don't blame you, but next time you assume something about me, it could very well be the last thing you do. Yolar nodded and the two commenced battling.

As the fight within the walls occurred, the battle between the two kings had commenced. The remaining two men from Bolen's command came to Levid's aid. Seeing this he decided to stop toying around with King Lure and killed him then and there and then left shortly after.

Confused by this, the castle of Lapace was in confusion until they saw the king's body. His wife coming to the aid of the fallen king. Meanwhile, the fight goes on between the two princes. Yolar had gained the upperhand and as he was about to deliver the final blow, one of Yolar's men comes in and says your father has fallen and the enemy has retreated. Yolar was disheartened by this and throws his sword to the wayside. He says that there has been enough bloodshed today and to take Bolen as a prisoner.

Later that night, Bolen looked up from his prison chambers. And was greated by a hot meal of roasted squab and bread. As well as the newly kinged Yolar. He brought his food over to him and asked, why? Why did you attack our kingdom just so you can murder my father. Bolen said, I'm sorry this played out the way it did. I never wanted this to happen.

Yolar said that he'll have to forgive him if he doesn't believe in Bolen's words as he was getting up to leave. Bolen then told him to wait and that there was more that he needed to tell him. He told Yolar that this was only the first phase of his father's plan. He told them that while the kingdom was in disarray, his father will come back in the middle of the night. The reason he and the mean he brought were sent, was to get a scope of the kingdom so that they will be more familiar with it come tonight. Yolar then unlocked his cage and said, you better be right. For your sake.

Meanwhile, back at Levid's kingdom, he had gathered his men and his battle beasts to invade the kingdom. One of the men in his army asked him about Prince Bolen. King Levid said, what about him? He was weak and didn't have what it took to rule anyway. Once I die, my next son, Rohon will take my place. He has the makings of a true king.

Yolar and Bolen had woken up Yolar's mother to warn her about the invasion from Bolen's kingdom. Surprised by this, his mother didn't know how to react. He put his mother in a cabinet to keep her safe and had Bolen keep her safe.

King Levid rode forward so that King Yolar can hear him. "Open the gate or prepare for war."he yelled. Bolen sighed and then spoke. "Look, you killed a bunch of our guys, we killed a bunch of yours. You spilled the blood of our king, we have your prince hostage. Too much blood has spilled on this day. If you promised to leave, we will relinquish your son back to you."

King Levid and the rest of his men laughed at this. "Why would we want a weakling like Bolen? I sent him to the inside of the castle because I knew he would be either captured or killed. I don't want someone that cowardly to run my kingdom when I am gone." Bolen heard this and was enraged by this and gripped his sword.

Yolar surprised by this asks Bolen "What kind of king are you?" To which King Levid replied, the one you are too afraid to be he said as he ordered his men to attack the kingdom.

The fight had progressed as Bolen had contemplated his thoughts. "This is not right. My father shouldn't be doing this. I know what I must do to make things right. No matter the cost." He opens the chamber in which the queen was located and said, Ms, I don't believe this is the safest place for you. Is there anywhere else I can take you until the battle is over. She nods as gets out and finds the trap door under the bed and bunkers down there.

"Every man must do what he feels is right. Only now do I see what I must due to ensure the safety of both kingdoms. For I am a warrior, let the battle be joined." Bolen had said to himself as he headed towards the entrance. King Levid and King Yolar were at arms and King Levid just chuckled. King Yolar asked what was so funny. To which King Levid said, this just reminds me of how your father died. This enraged King Yolar to the point where he was fighting in a blind rage. Which King Levid had counted on.

As King Levid was ready to land the finishing blow, Bolen had intervened and had stabbed his father as his father was about to kill King Yolar, but instead killing his son instead. King Levid had dropped to his knees.

King Yolar dropped down to Bolen and said: "You saved me. Why?" Bolen said: "I had to. He would have continued his bloodlust. It was the only thing I could do to end his savage nature. Besides, I'm not going to be indebted to some king from Lapace."he said as he coughed up blood, to which King Yolar snickered. "Don't judge us all for the actions of our rulers. We have all made mistakes and we must lean from the if we want to move forward. Let us be judged accordingly by them. We should learn to accept the good and the bad. The rest, is unwritten." he says with his final breathe.

King Yolar wiped a tear and said, may the next king of your people advance. King Levin's son, Rohon advanced. "Let us learn from this moment. Should we wish to continue, or shall we bring peace between our people." Rohon looked at the fallen body of both his father, and then his brother and dropped his weapons. "Listen up everyone, the battle between us and the Kingdom of Lapace is over. If anyone has a problem with that, then step forward. All of Rohon's men took a step backwards.

King Rohon took the bodies of both his father and his brother on Levid's battle beast. King Rohon thanked the King Yolar and had apologized on the behalf of his late father. King Yolar said "What's done is done. Let's just learn from the fallen." King Rohon nodded as he extended his arm towards King Yolar. He then took his men and left. To this day, there has never been any form of hostility between Kingdom of Lapace and the Kingdom of Flintocc ever again.
