Chapter 7. The Ultimate Showdown: John vs. Sarah

John was in a state of shock and disbelief as he realized that Sarah had kidnapped Maria. He had never imagined that Sarah would go to such lengths to get revenge on him and Maria, but now he was facing the reality of the situation. He knew that he had to act quickly if he wanted to save Maria and bring her back to safety.

John immediately called the police, but he also knew that he couldn't wait for them to arrive. Sarah was unstable and dangerous, and he was afraid that she might hurt Maria. He decided to take matters into his own hands and set out to rescue Maria on his own.

He traced Sarah's movements, using the information he had gathered from her past con jobs. He knew that she liked to stay in secluded, out-of-the-way locations, and he quickly narrowed down her possible hiding spots. He finally found her in a remote cabin deep in the woods.

John approached the cabin cautiously, not knowing what he would find inside. He slowly pushed open the door, and his heart sank as he saw Maria tied up and gagged on a bed. Sarah was sitting in a chair beside her, holding a knife and looking crazed.

John tried to remain calm and not let his fear show. He slowly stepped forward, speaking softly to Sarah in an attempt to reason with her. But Sarah was beyond reason, and she lunged at John with the knife. In a fit of rage, she turned her attention to Maria, who was caught off guard.

John was horrified as he saw Sarah lunging towards Maria with the knife. He tried to intervene, but Sarah was too quick. In a split second, Maria was lying on the ground, clutching her side as blood seeped through her fingers.

John was filled with anger and fear as he realized that Sarah had stabbed Maria. He lunged at Sarah, trying to disarm her and protect Maria. The two of them struggled, each trying to gain control of the knife.

The fight was intense and brutal, with both John and Sarah determined to come out on top. John was fueled by his love for Maria and the anger he felt towards Sarah, while Sarah was driven by her jealousy and her own twisted sense of self-preservation.

In the end, John was able to overpower Sarah and take the knife from her. He then turned his attention to Maria, who was badly hurt and in need of immediate medical attention. John called an ambulance and stayed by Maria's side until she was taken to the hospital.

Once at the hospital, John stayed by Maria's side, praying for her to recover. He felt guilty for not being able to protect her, and he was filled with regret for ever letting Sarah into his life.

Days passed, and Maria's condition improved. John was relieved to see her recovering, and he was grateful for the support of his friends and family. However, he was also haunted by the memory of the fight with Sarah and the fear that she would come back to hurt him and Maria.

Despite his fears, John was determined to put the past behind him and to focus on Maria's recovery. He promised himself that he would do everything in his power to protect her and to make sure that she never had to worry about Sarah again.

Finally, police were able to track Sarah and arrested her. Sarah was found guilty of kidnapping and attempted murder, and she was sentenced to life in prison.
