Is It A Dream?

A sparkle of hope

Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky.

The night was electric. The sky aflame, a kaleidoscope of burning purples and vibrant pinks, a sight only a devil could love. The sheer beauty of the cloud formations above were enough to take one’s breath away and cause the heart to flutter. It was a sight that one could only imagine in their wildest dreams.

Down below the streets were alive with excitement. Everywhere people sought out indulgences and pleasure, looking for whatever fleeting moments of pleasure their hearts desired. Music flowed from the cars and speakers of every dive bar, club and shop in the city, giving off a pulse as if to challenge the heavens above. People joined together in groups, as if compelled by some unknown force, and started dancing in the streets.

The purple clouds answered the call, showering down sparks of vibrant energy like they were pouring out of a chalice of joy. The energy lit up the sky with its fiery presence and gave the people below a sense of freedom they couldn’t feel in the confines of their own homes.

The night was young and full of possibilities. People imagined what might come of their actions, both good and bad, and each one reveled in the thought of wild adventure. Some made love, some made friends, and others just danced the night away, letting the beat of the music wash over them and let the purple clouds be their faithful guide.

Soon the night began to settle, but the clouds still lingered. Seemingly, they wanted nothing more than to keep their mysterious hold over the city. People started to make their way back home, some with dejected eyes and some still filled with the wonderment of the night just past. No matter how the night concluded, one thing was certain: the purple clouds had forever changed the way people saw the world.

As dawn began to creep in, the lights of the city dimmed and the purple clouds began to dissipate, fading into the night and taking their secrets with them. In their wake they left behind only lingering memories, ones of joy and sadness, adventure and caution. Memories that will stay with the people of this city until the end of their days, whether they know it or not.

The purple clouds had come to dance with the blushing sky, and the city was blessed to be a part of their beautiful performance.

The city was left in stunned silence, mesmerized by the beauty of the purple clouds and what they had just experienced. But was it real or just a dream? No one knew, and it seemed like it was going to stay a mystery. People slowly made their way back to their homes, locked their doors and tried to get some sleep.

The clouds, however, had left something behind which no one had noticed before: a single silver object, hovering in the night sky and emitting a strange, ethereal glow. The object flew around the city for the rest of the night and into the early morning, with no sign of stopping.

Where had this object come from, and what was its purpose? What secrets were hidden within it, and how could it be used? As the sun started to rise, the silver object disappeared from sight just as quickly as it had arrived.

The people of the city may never know the answer to these questions, but curiosity fades slowly. They are left with a lingering feeling of mystery, and an even more bizarre sensation that they have been chosen to partake in something magical. They know they will never forget the night the purple clouds came out to dance, but the true meaning behind the night may be forever out of reach.
