“She’s beautiful!” exclaimed Hunter, to his best friend- and brother Avery, whilst they stood at the end of the aisle in front of the altar, watching the indeed beautiful Lillia gliding towards them, her smile wider than ever, Avery nodded, beaming at his bride. Lillia wore a deep red full length ball gown for her wedding dress, with black lace sleeves covering her arms delicately, slipping over the back of her hands, stopping perfectly at her fingers. Her nails were shaped and painted black with a rhinestone at the base of her middle finger, her makeup was a simple red lip and nude eyeshadow which brought out the deep blue of her eyes and her jet-black fringe framed her face perfectly, with the rest of her hair styled in an elegant braid down to her waist. Francesca reached the front of the aisle to take her place next to her best friend, as Lillia reached her soon to be husband, Francesca gently squeezed her arm, took the bouquet from her hands and placed Lillia’s hands in Avery’s. Despite having no other friends in the whole world, or any family to speak of anymore, with just their two best friends in attendance, Avery and Lillia’s wedding was truly stunning. Lillia’s dress was absolutely beautiful. Avery’s suit, which was a traditional black design with a deep red, to match Lillia’s dress, pocket square and tie, and had a gold chained pocket watch, was superb, and his deep brown hair was brushed over to the right, his curls sweeping across his forehead and down to his shoulder. Hunter and Francesca were both dressed in charcoal grey, Francesca being in a simple pencil dress, cinched in at the waist by a thin black belt, her nails short and painted light pink, her auburn hair tied back in an elegant pull through ponytail, and Hunter being dressed in a simple jacket and trousers with a white shirt, his deep brown hair slicked back down to his ears, they all complimented each other perfectly. The extravagance of Lillia’s dress, the boldness of Avery’s suit against the simple silhouette of Francesca and Hunters outfits made Lillia stand out even more.

Lillia was a vampire, as was her best friend Francesca and they had grown up together, as neighbours no less, in the hidden village of Hollow Grace. Lillia and Francesca had been friends ever since Lillia’s family had moved into the house next to Francesca’s when the girls were just six and eight months old- Lillia being the older of the two friends. They had been through all parts of life, including both having younger siblings born into their families, Francesca getting a younger brother, Arthur, when the girls were four and then a little sister, Krystal, when the girls were seven, and Lillia getting a set of twin sisters, Bethan and Vera, when the girls were six. They had shared everything, and they had even graduated the same college course together.

Avery and Hunter were werewolves and had moved to Hollow Grace together after college to find a new start, away from the stigma they had faced from their own family in their old town. Avery and Hunter were adopted by a human family after their birth parents had been killed in a fire when they were just infants, their birth parents had perished with Avery being just two years old and Hunter being barely six months old, and when it was made known of their supernatural dispositions, one full moon when they were teenagers and had turned in their basement, their family wanted nothing to do with them ever again.

When the brothers had moved to Hollow Grace, it was made clear that despite the village being a sanctuary for all supernatural and paranormal entities, Werewolves and Vampires do not marry; they could be friends, they could work and socialise together, but they should not marry, and they should definitely not have children, Hybrids between Vampires and Werewolves were frowned upon- any other Hybrid would be accepted and even celebrated for their unique qualities, but not Vampires and Werewolves. With all other supernatural entities, hybrids would take just one parents creature skillset from the mix, with both parents’ human forms’ physical appearances mixing, as with all children of supernatural or human parents, and the other parent’s creatures form eyes, showing through during transformation, this was the safe and expected hybrid of supernatural creatures. However, with Vampires and Werewolves, due to their heightened strength and unforgiving dominance, the hybrid with have both parents’ skillsets instead of just one, will have the mix of both parents’ human forms’ physical appearances, just like other hybrids but unlike other hybrids, these will not just have the eyes of the recessive creature during transformation, but will have both creatures full transformation forms mixed together- this is what made these Hybrids so undesired, because one side wouldn’t be pushed down, and they would be stronger than their parents, therefore wouldn’t be able to be controlled.

When Avery and Lillia met, and began dating, Lillia’s family warned her of the issues surrounding Vampires mixing with Werewolves, and told her if their relationship continued and grew, that she would no longer be a part of their community and will be outcast from the village. That was why only Hunter and Francesca were at their wedding, they were the only ones who did not forsake their decision to get married and have a life together. The four of them became inseparable and moved out of Hollow Grace, finding a new place to settle down, over a thousand miles away in a better supernatural and paranormal sanctuary called Bridgeway Vale; there all creatures were accepted, all types of families were welcome and there were no unwritten rules for any type of Hybrid, they were all celebrated.

Several years after the wedding, after spending their early twenties discovering everything about their new home, and making new friends with their neighbours, colleagues and community, Avery and Lillia welcomed a beautiful Hybrid daughter, who they named Amily. She was a sweet and happy baby, who quickly grew into an adorable toddler and then a wonderfully well-rounded little girl. As she grew older, more amazingly unique traits became apparent; first of all, she had heterochromia, her left eye being deep blue just like her mother and her right eye having a wonderful explosion of green and brown just like her father, she also had outstandingly curly hair, which would naturally dry and fall into ringlets of jet-black perfection, her smile illuminated each and every room she would be in, and her voice was silky smooth and sugary sweet. By the time she enrolled in school, she had already made a huge impact on the community, which only continued while she was in school; it was very clear that the Vampire and Werewolf DNA in her, made her exceptional at all that she did, both academically, being the top of her class for all subjects and physically, excelling at sports and dance, winning trophies for her ballet and volleyball. She was also a talented creator, picking up musical instruments and mastering them within days, composing her own symphonies and learning others perfectly, as well as completing masterpieces of artwork of all medium types, usually starting and finishing largescale and complicated projects within a matter of three months or less- even some adults who had been mastering their profession for decades could only hope to compete with Amily’s artistic prowess.

When Amily reached 15, as prepared by her parents over her childhood and adolescence, she began fully coming into her power as a Vampire Werewolf Hybrid. On full moons and the few nights around it, she and her father would go into the woods and transform, running through the trees together, hunting deer and rabbits and bringing them back to eat with her mother, and basking in the glow and power of the moon. on the nights that she wouldn’t transform with her father, she would spend it learning how to use her Vampiric abilities, mastering the ability to shapeshift into any animal, from becoming a bat to travel in the night to becoming a squirrel, or dolphin, or even a butterfly; she would learn of the power of the water, which for Vampires was a way to communicate with one another if you weren’t close enough for telecommunication, Amily learnt and mastered her ability of telekinesis and hypnosis, although she wasn’t allowed to use any of her abilities on her father- her mother was immune as she too was a Vampire but with her father being a Werewolf he could be put under hypnosis and wouldn’t be able to tell that the animal in front of him was his daughter.

Hunter and Francesca also both found partners of their own in their new home of Bridgeway Vale, Hunter ended up marrying another werewolf named Jonah-Lin, having a set of triplets, a boy named Orthello, and two girls Arisa and Navua, who were two years younger than Amily, and then another son called Bryce three years after the triplets and Francesca married a mermaid named Jasmi, who had two pure mermaid daughters from her ex-husband, Unella and Xena, who were two years older and the same age as Amily respectively, and then they went on to have a hybrid daughter called Gillian, who was three years younger than Amily, and then adopted a vampire baby, another daughter who they named Frankie, two years later. The inseparable friends grew happier, and their circle increased with the addition of the partners of Hunter and Francesca. Amily grew up with real and chosen cousins, with a real family, despite never meeting her mothers family, and only having her fathers brother, Amily wanted for no love, she had all she wanted.
