As the city chaos is heard, Anna the young apprentice remembers she forgot to put the notes away from earlier testing on the mutating dwarf. As she proceeds downstairs, with nothing but a dim lantern to illuminate the path, suddenly a glowing ember radiates from below, glass shattering, following a piercing scream.
Anna hastens on as dread and panic consume her.
Coming to a sudden stop, her gaze focused on the lifeless body standing up. Flames swirl around Neal with spontaneous combustions.
“You can’t ……. What is happening?”
With a tilted head and piercing glaze, “The damned return.”
