She'd had the windows well blocked. The sun caused too much glare while she played. Her name was on the save file: Crep. Short for her favourite word, crepuscular. Most of her friends couldn't pronounce it, so she said it was for crêpes. That is, pancakes.
None of her friends had messaged her. Crep hasn't checked the time. When had she last used the washroom? She sniffed; no need for a bath yet. She built towns, fought aliens, lined up blocks, and explored whole worlds.
She looked down.
Her hands were pixelated.
