Helen was talking to her husband, Pete, who was reading the newspaper. Helen knew Pete was ignoring her as he always does, so she said, "Our neighbor Jim, recently lost his wife, so I was thinking of having an affair with him."

Pete didn't say anything, so Helen got up, went to the kitchen drawer, and pulled out Pete's .38 handgun. She walked behind her husband, put the gun against his head, and pulled the trigger.

Helen sat down and thought, "You know, now that I also lost my husband, I should start an affair with Jim."
