In the land of Deldor, magic was real. It flowed through the air like a river, giving life to trees and animals and flowers. The people of Deldor had learned to harness this magic, using it to build cities of gold and to forge weapons of great power. They were a proud and powerful people, ruled by a queen who was said to be descended from the gods themselves.

The queen's name was Lirien, and she was a wise and just ruler. Her people loved her and respected her, and they knew that she would do anything to protect them from harm. And yet, despite her power and her wisdom, Lirien was haunted by a deep sense of unease. She knew that something was wrong in her kingdom, something that she could not quite put her finger on.

One day, while walking through the forest that lay on the outskirts of her kingdom, Lirien came across a young boy. He was small and frail, with tangled hair and dirty clothes. He looked up at her with frightened eyes, and she could see that he had been crying.

"What is wrong, little one?" she asked him.

The boy shook his head, too scared to speak.

Lirien took pity on the boy and decided to take him back to her palace. She cleaned him up and gave him a warm meal, and soon he began to open up to her. He told her that he had been living in the forest for as long as he could remember, hiding from the dark creatures that roamed the land.

Lirien's heart went out to the boy. She knew that there were dangerous creatures in the forest, creatures that would kill a child without a second thought. She decided to take the boy under her wing, to give him a home and a family.

But as the days went by, Lirien began to notice something strange about the boy. He seemed to be more than just a simple child. His eyes would sometimes glow with an otherworldly light, and he would mutter strange words under his breath.

Lirien consulted her advisors, but none of them could explain what was happening to the boy. They told her that he was likely possessed by a demon or a spirit, and that he should be cast out of the kingdom before he caused any harm.

But Lirien refused to abandon the boy. She knew that he needed her help, and she was determined to find a way to save him.

One day, she took the boy to a powerful wizard who lived in the mountains. The wizard was old and wise, with a long white beard and piercing blue eyes. He listened carefully as Lirien explained the boy's condition, and then he examined the boy closely.

Finally, he spoke. "The boy is not possessed by a demon or a spirit. He is something far more powerful. He is a child of the stars."

Lirien was stunned. She had heard stories of the star children, beings of great power and magic who had been sent to Deldor to protect the kingdom. But she had never believed in such tales. Now, looking at the boy, she knew that they were true.

The wizard told Lirien that the boy was in danger. There were dark forces at work in Deldor, forces that sought to destroy the kingdom and all its people. The star child was their only hope.

Lirien knew that she had to act fast. She gathered her bravest knights and her most powerful wizards, and she set out on a quest to find the source of the darkness that threatened her kingdom.
