And I walked and walked and walked until I could no longer walk. The things that love makes you do. The sea with its rising and falling waves and the sun setting down with the gusts of wind that brushed my face every now and then—all of it mimicked a healthy conversation, a lively conversation, a joyful conversation. But alas, many things in life are not what they seem to be. My late mother used to say “Live life like you are living it the first time, Live life the way you would live it if you had another chance” To the normal brain, such a sentence would not be very comprehensible, and so it was not to me; I’m only human after all. But after all the sorrows and sufferings of this life and now the state I find myself in—dejection—do I think that one understands the philosophies of life and the profound essence of living life properly and to its fullest—or may one dare to argue, and if they do, then no wonder suicidal notes have become more common in this world all of a sudden.

Some things you understand too late in life, and sometimes late is so far in the past that even your feeling of regret becomes defunct. “Isn’t the moon lovely”, she said, but it was one of the moments that I paid very little attention to, and when I grasped the meaning of these profound words, she had already found him, who replied to her by saying, “So are you”. For with me, will love for her reside forever. Love is liking someone without wanting anything in return—I did not get the person in return, but happy wishes are all I want to give. Her words will always ring in my head, and every night I will sleep after conversing with the stars, “I can die happy”.

"I vowed to never love anew till she I'd meet,

I whispered, 'I won't stumble, unless it's you I greet.'

In the abyss, I wandered, lost and incomplete,

Till I discovered you, my heart's retreat."

The sun set below the horizon, leaving crimson and gold streaks across the lowering sky. Its departure reflected the pain in my own broken heart. The once-bright canvas of the skies has been transformed into a melancholy masterpiece, filled with strokes of grief and desire. Each fading beam of light spoke of bittersweet memories, throwing shadows that danced with the ghosts of lost love. The burning brilliance, a bitter reminder of the intensity we had shared, had now died away like the fading embers of a long-gone love.

Wisps of pink and purple mingled with the fading traces of optimism as the sky morphed into a tapestry of deepening blues. The stars seemed like distant witnesses to my anguish, their soft brightness mocking the void that had now devoured me.

The lovely breeze conveyed a sad song, sweeping among the leaves and whispering heartache secrets. The air became thick with unsaid words, as if even nature mourned the love that had been torn asunder. The water echoed my anguish, its once tranquil surface transformed into a chaotic sea of misery. The waves roared anguishedly on the coast, mirroring my wounded soul's cries. The salty spray touched my tear-stained face, combining nature's sorrow with my own broken hopes.

The last rays of sunshine clung fiercely to the horizon in the waning hours of the day, like the last flame of hope refusing to die away. And as the sun faded away, leaving the world in darkness, I was alone, my heart throbbing in time with the passing light, longing for the warmth that would never return.

It was good while it lasted.
