Ending/Beginning
Microfiction Challenge
The pen swiped across the paper. With that signature, my marriage came to an end. After a promising start, the relationship crashed like a speeding car on the wrong side of the highway.
Once the papers were signed, I looked at my outfit: a wedding dress. Today is my wedding day. I am marrying the man of my dreams, the one who would make me happy for all of time.
Or until I was arrested for the murder of my first husband. Nobody found him yet. That's why I signed the papers and claimed he abandoned me.

Doing it for the troops
The others dropped like flies around me. We fought and struggled to get to this point. I'm the only one left now. The objective is right there. A mere two hundred feet away. The last of my team got a bullet to the head right next to me, but I couldn't do anything. I was able to locate and neutralise the sniper as he shot my friend, so his death was at least not in vain.

The end or a beginning?
The countdown begins. 60 59 58 This cop is trying his hardest to talk me off the ledge, he tells me I have a lot to live for. I look at my watch and see my timer nearly about to go off. I was born on May 2nd, 1974 at 7pm and I planned to die on my birthday, May 2nd, 2024 at 7pm. It was now 6:59pm. This cop has no idea my mind is made up, there is nothing he can say or do to me that will change my mind.
