Tonight was the night. A countdown starting 10 days ago has created a level of anticipation and excitement Terrell has not experienced in a very long time. Placing the finishing touches on the night ahead and grabbing a bottle of Merlot, Terrell is ready to take on this highly anticipated night. Dressed to impress he wears a black, red, and white tight fitting long sleeve Hugo Boss shirt with black pants and matching Jordans. Bringing along his favorite watch and chain he feels like Ebony man of the month. Hair and teeth brushed and waves spinning he stares back at himself in the mirror as he prepares for this long awaited date. He was owner to a rare and ancient set of red Andis T- Liners with a chrome finish on each side. They had a long black cord and at the bottom of the clippers laid a chrome on/off switch. These were top of the line T Liners before the world of cordless. Luckily he was able to buy more blades to create longevity and durability within his clippers. He lined his hair up so sharp it made the blade dull. It was by far his best work. It was much needed given the circumstances of the future most important moment in his love life. In his car approaching the previously agreed upon location to meet his hopeful tinder date he begins to become nervous. He had matched and met women on tinder before. But the level of anticipation and mystery to this new date made this tinder match exponentially special. He would stare at his phone waiting on her response. He would pull his phone out his pocket every 10 minutes thinking he felt it vibrate. The closer he gets to his destination his palms begin to sweat. Doubt begins to fill his head. He was good on paper but in person he was sometimes so desolate and cold it turned some women off. But not because he didn't care or was uninterested but because he was burdened and drowned by his own thoughts. He would randomly have very unique and specific thoughts about anything and everything that would take his mind away from the present situation. Sometimes it made him feel weird or crazy but over time he rationalized the thoughts and it made him very calm and worry free. He was always himself no matter who was around or no matter how good or how bad. He was himself. He was a quiet man. Very observative. Very laid back. He preferred to let others talk while he only listened to really understand them as a person. He would critique their reactions and certain mannerisms to determine if the person was worth opening up to. He would sit and wait for a invisible rope to pull him. This invisible rope was known as a vibe. In his past the vibe he craved and longed for would always leave his body immediately after sex. All vibes that were present before sex would simultaneously dissolve before he could get his clothes back on. Unfortunately, this has led him to many awkward situations and women feeling he was unemotional or uninterested. But that was never the case. He confused lust for love during sex when love is so important he would lose that feeling of lust and be left with nothing. He wasn't a player or a womanizer, he just didn't understand his own emotions because he was raised by lions and wolves. He was raised to be a dog and to only bark and bite if he has to. No room for emotion no room for doubt.

The two matched on tinder a few weeks prior and he was immediately filled with sparks and butterflies. Both too nervous to meet only staring at pictures hoping the other was truthful. Fortunately now was a chance to finally meet in person. Driving towards the preselected restaurant he prays for a smooth date. He approaches the parking lot and receives a "im here" text from his wishful date. With sweaty palms and butterflies in his stomach he parks his car to respond to her text. He writes "me too, walking in now" wishing he was as calm and cool as the text he sent to her. After about five minutes of listening to the intro of his favorite song he opens the car door. He finally gathers enough courage to get out his car and start this highly anticipated date night. He walks towards the door and fumbles his keys trying to lock his car door making sure he hears the horn go off. He reaches down to the doorway where he dropped his keys and as he comes up he sees her. Two feet in front of him stood eleven foot tall glass double doors. Long chrome handles planted firm on the doors but the clarity through the glass doors was impressive. Staring at his tinder date he is star struck. "She looks even better in person than her pictures" He thinks to himself. He looks up and really stares into the first thing that catches his attention and makes his heart melt. Her eyes. Her eyes were a light brown that reminded him of honey from bees. It was a fiery golden brown color that made him sink. Her hair was straight, long and dark black down her back. Her hair swayed as she moved her face to talk. Her hair ran down her face complimenting the curves of her smile. She was a beauty. She was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen in his life. He knew then what true love really was. As he opens the glass door to greet her he texts his best friend "Im in trouble 🥴" and puts his phone on silent then shoves it in his pocket. He walks up to her trying to hold back his smile. She smiles and says "Hey" He replies "Hey, how are you?" and hugs her before they are guided to the seats to start this fiery date. Upon hugging her he is smacked in the face with a tempting and enticing smell of flowers and cleanliness. Getting lost in her seductive smell he finally let's her go to end the hug and escorts her to their table following the waiter. He pulls her chair for her not because he was raised to do so but he couldn't fight the urges inside him to be closer to her. He sat and noticed the slight uncontrollable wink that happens in unison with her smile or laugh. Her stature was small but her skin was radiant as it glowed in the dim light of the lounge.
