Drive of Terror
The low gas light brightens the dash of a red Chevy Malibu as it steals all the attention of the sleepy driver. It's now almost 1am and Ray decided two days ago to begin a cross country trip with his girlfriend Desiree in hopes of saving their relationship. They both have accused each other of not showing enough attention and they both feel less and less sparks as each day passes by. She believes he has fallen out of love and is more worried about his career than making her happy. He believes the love for his career and his sacrifice should be enough but it isn't. Finding the balance between work and his life has been challenging for him because he refuses to be complacent. As with her, she feels ignored and taken for granted. After years of arguing and not seeing eye to eye, this voyage with just the two of them was the last hope in saving their dying relationship.

Real Men Cry Alone
I have a confession. I cried over a woman this morning that has left my heart in a million pieces. I wanted this relationship to work so bad I was willing to do anything and everything to keep her. Giving her a monthly allowance because I thought that's what a provider does. Draping her perfect body with exotic linen she's never seen. Doing all I could to keep that beautiful smile on her face. I loved her unconditionally through thick and thin. Through arguments and disagreements. No obstacle would stand in my way. I wanted to be with this woman more then anything. I truly believed the reward was greater then the risk. I didn't love easily so when I fell for this woman I gave her my heart and soul to make it work. From the first time I laid eyes on her she gave me a unfamiliar supply of love and passion I never knew existed. I now recognize and understand the mistakes I made with her but I truly believed together we could conquer all. No distance or any distraction could stand in our way.

Dream Date
Tonight was the night. A countdown starting 10 days ago has created a level of anticipation and excitement Terrell has not experienced in a very long time. Placing the finishing touches on the night ahead and grabbing a bottle of Merlot, Terrell is ready to take on this highly anticipated night. Dressed to impress he wears a black, red, and white tight fitting long sleeve Hugo Boss shirt with black pants and matching Jordans. Bringing along his favorite watch and chain he feels like Ebony man of the month. Hair and teeth brushed and waves spinning he stares back at himself in the mirror as he prepares for this long awaited date. He was owner to a rare and ancient set of red Andis T- Liners with a chrome finish on each side. They had a long black cord and at the bottom of the clippers laid a chrome on/off switch. These were top of the line T Liners before the world of cordless. Luckily he was able to buy more blades to create longevity and durability within his clippers. He lined his hair up so sharp it made the blade dull. It was by far his best work. It was much needed given the circumstances of the future most important moment in his love life. In his car approaching the previously agreed upon location to meet his hopeful tinder date he begins to become nervous. He had matched and met women on tinder before. But the level of anticipation and mystery to this new date made this tinder match exponentially special. He would stare at his phone waiting on her response. He would pull his phone out his pocket every 10 minutes thinking he felt it vibrate. The closer he gets to his destination his palms begin to sweat. Doubt begins to fill his head. He was good on paper but in person he was sometimes so desolate and cold it turned some women off. But not because he didn't care or was uninterested but because he was burdened and drowned by his own thoughts. He would randomly have very unique and specific thoughts about anything and everything that would take his mind away from the present situation. Sometimes it made him feel weird or crazy but over time he rationalized the thoughts and it made him very calm and worry free. He was always himself no matter who was around or no matter how good or how bad. He was himself. He was a quiet man. Very observative. Very laid back. He preferred to let others talk while he only listened to really understand them as a person. He would critique their reactions and certain mannerisms to determine if the person was worth opening up to. He would sit and wait for a invisible rope to pull him. This invisible rope was known as a vibe. In his past the vibe he craved and longed for would always leave his body immediately after sex. All vibes that were present before sex would simultaneously dissolve before he could get his clothes back on. Unfortunately, this has led him to many awkward situations and women feeling he was unemotional or uninterested. But that was never the case. He confused lust for love during sex when love is so important he would lose that feeling of lust and be left with nothing. He wasn't a player or a womanizer, he just didn't understand his own emotions because he was raised by lions and wolves. He was raised to be a dog and to only bark and bite if he has to. No room for emotion no room for doubt.

How To Change The World in 100 Days
Laying on his back staring at the ceiling Marcus is wide awake with a sea of endless thoughts swarming through his brain. It's around 11:30 pm and Marcus like usual is unable to sleep. This has been an issue for him for as long as he can remember. As a child he combated his thoughts with a unhealthy addiction to video games. He would spend his nights playing video games until completion even after his eyes would bleed. Escaping to the video game world was the only thing that kept him sane as he is lost in a never ending sea of his own thoughts. But as he grew older his fascination with video games dwindled while his obsession with world inequality continued to grow. His mind continues to wonder to space, reincarnation, this life of blinded freedom and ways to fix the world. Sitting back watching the aftermath of a country built on the blood of slaves and indigenous peoples backs. Then 400 years later watching those same people continue to be looked at and thought of as less then and not equal. A government who allows its cities to be segregated by a invisible line of rich vs poor. Clear disadvantages in comparing the inner city infrastructure and the suburban infrastructure. Cities where special groups were sworn in to protect and to serve the people but instead choose to harm and prey on its inner city citizens. Marcus lays back and wonders of a different world in which the slaves who were brought over from Africa and those that were already imprisoned and tortured here never served a life term. "What if they just stopped." What if they chose death instead of submission. How would the world be? Would there be racism still? Would these minority races have survived for 400 years? Endless questions with no answers. In the end it doesn't matter. We are in these situations because of our past. It's up to our present to change our future. Those slaves who didn't choose death they in fact chose submission. So now 500 years later what will we do? Are we now in too much despair and under authoritative rule to truly make change because we've been generationally infected by 400 years of slavery and many more lifetimes of racism and sorrow. Why is there so much evil? Wars, famine and destruction all over the world for 1000s of years. Are people naturally born evil or is it an acquired perception that we infect our children with from birth. Imagine a child growing up in a world without these unnecessary evils such as racism and greed. Would that child grow to become selfish and deceitful or would that child grow in harmony with the plants and animals surrounding him because that's all he would see.
