Dear Cup of Coffee,

I lovingly made you once the kettle boiled. I added just enough milk and sugar in order to devour you. You were steaming hot and tempting to drink once you were made, but I let you go cold!

"How could you be so cruel? Wasn't I tasty enough for you?" you asked.

I am so sorry, my cup of coffee. The telephone rang; my son was complaining about his girlfriend! He didn't stop complaining for three hours.

My dear cup of coffee, I'm sorry I let you go cold.

It won't happen again! I promise you!

That was very nice to read! I'm sure coffee has already forgiven you. ;-)

Love this! This poem just reminded me to apologize to my own cup of coffee right now, lol. Great work!
