In the old times, there are many stories of love and infatuation, some of which ended with a happy ending, and some of them reached a dead end, and the beloved died in the end tragically while he did not reach him.

Here we will stop with the most prominent of these stories or love pairs in the heritage, whose heroes were mostly poets, and we do not forget that the poems were opened by spinning and kinship, and perhaps this is an incentive for the self and the soul to be able to uproot what is in it. And moving it to reveal where the spinning is the beginning of a great liberation opens the passion to say what is deeper and farther in the poem from tales, other stories, narrations and judgment.

Antarah and Abla

It is one of the famous stories, its hero Antarah bin Shaddad from the tribe of Bani Abs and Abla, and he is that knight who outperformed the enemies in the war of Dahes and Al-Ghabra, and his mother was a maid.

Antara loved his cousin Abla Bint Malik, but Al-Manal was not easy until he accomplished a legendary mission in fulfilling her father's request to bring camels from King Al-Numan, to crown the infatuation with the will, despite what was said to have betrayed her later.

Djamil and Buthaina

It is a story that ended with the repulsion, as Djamil bin Muammar, who lived in the Umayyad era, loved Buthaina, both of whom were from Bani Uthra with different branches. But he did not kill love, although his lover went to marry another man at the dictation of the parents, and she remained in herself with her first and last passion. The word "virgin love" came from this tribe, "Bani Uthra" and the context of the story of Djamil and Buthaina, meaning that chaste and pure love.

After Buthaina's marriage, he got tired of Jamil, so he traveled to Yemen for his uncles, then returned to the family's quarters in Wadi Al-Qura later without forgetting his passion. He found that Buthaina had left with her family for the Levant, so he decided to immigrate to Egypt and remained there until he died remembering his old love.

It was said that Buthaina learned about the news, so she was devastated and sang poetry in the lament of the bereaved lover. It should be noted that the narrators differed in describing Djamil's character. Like all old love stories.

Katheer And Azza

Katheer bin Abd al-Rahman al-Aswad al-Khuza’i, one of the poets of the Umayyad era, was known for his love for Azza bint Djamil al-Kinaniah. He was so proud that he was called by him, so he became nicknamed "Katheer And Azza", and he remembers that he fell in love with her when she once guided him to a place of water to water the camels on one of his trips to the pastures when they were young.

Like most old love stories, he did not marry, because the old traditional custom was not to marry those who flirt with poetry with their daughters.

She married Buthaina and left the city to Egypt with her husband, and Djamil joined her there. But he returned to the city and died there.

It was said that at his death he was more common by women than men, and they would weep for him and mention his pride in their mourning.
