Sitting in a bakery, a woman sips on her tea. The peach flavor wrapping around her tongue as the liquid enters her mouth. A gentle smiles fills her face as the bell chimes through the bakery. As a mother and her daughter comes in. The little girl jumping up and down excitedly as they walk up to the counter where the already made pastries were. While they look through the glass, the clerk walks up to the counter with a soft smile on her face. Watching as the family figuring out what they would want.

The two turn to her and point to the pastries that they would want. Nodding her head, she takes out a small tray and opens the glass door, gently grabbing a plate with a chocolate cake with a small red rose on the top, and then a cream horn. Then she reaches behind her and pulls out two porcelain cups with blue roses painted on them, placing them carefully onto the tray.

The mother pays the clerk and takes the tray. Then the duo goes towards a table with a tea kettle that is placed on top of a heated mat. Keeping it warm.

The woman watches, and giggles as the girl takes a huge bite out of the chocolate cake and does a little dance. Then she turns her head outside, watching the people going pass on the red cobblestone road and sidewalk. People wearing their summer clothes. Women either wearing simple sundresses and sun hats, or shorts and tank tops with sunglasses. Men looking at their watches or phones, most likely keeping track of the time. Some young couples meeting up with each other, and others just enjoying the warm day outside.

The door chimes again, as a woman steps in with a business style outfit, and a dominating aura. She walks up to the clerk behind the counter, seeming to ask her something. Just for her to point to the woman that has been sipping her tea, watching the people outside.

The woman walks up to the watcher. “Excuse me miss, are you the baker of this establishment?” She asks with a surprisingly gentle tone.

The watcher looks up and gives her a gentle smile. Standing up from her seat and reaches out her hand. “Indeed I am, my name is Amelia Duvernay, how may I help you?” She says with a light accent in her voice.

The woman shakes Amelia's hand. “Hello Miss Duvernay, I'm Evelynne Chermaine, soon to be Evelynne Greyheart. I'm planning to be married next month and I was told you do extravagant cakes here. I was wondering if you could do two cakes for me? One that is chocolate and one in vanilla.” Evelynne says, her eyes eyeing up Amelia.

“Please sit.” Amelia says gesturing to the chair across from her.

As the woman sits, the clerk comes out with four sample cakes. A chocolate, mint, vanilla, and almond cake, each having a small fork sitting next to them. The woman looks up with her eyebrow raised and slowly starts to test them each. Her eyes glow up with each one she tastes. Surprised by how splendid each cake tasted.

“Miss Evelynne, please tell me what you would like for each cake.” Amelia smiles as she places her head onto her palm, leaning into the table.

Evelynne looks up as she takes the napkin and lightly dust off her face from any possible crumbs. Smiling as she was slightly embarrassed on how engrossed she was with the cakes, almost forgetting as to why she was there.

“Yes, well. Like I said, one vanilla and one chocolate cake. Have a few guest with nut allergies. The vanilla we would like to have it with light blue frosting and with small white lilies cascading from it. Then the chocolate, a royal blue that also has purple cherry blossoms cascading from it." She says as she takes a small bite from the samples.

Amelia smiles and nods her head as she writes down what Evelynne was asking for. Then looks back up at her, pondering. "Have you already found a florist by chance, we have one down the block if you're interested."

Looking up, she nods her head with a smile. "I'll go and see them after we are done here."

"So, is there anything else I can do for you? Do you want me to show you any rough drafts for what we could do for you? Or would you rather it be a week before the wedding?" She asks as she takes a sip of her peach tea.

"Oh please, that sounds amazing. Oh, forgot to mention that I would prefer the cake to be a whipped topping and the flowers to be that way as well."

She nodded her head, "I can do that, just know that whipped cream frosting doesn't always sit nicely when left alone, and may droop."

She sighs and nods her head. "I had a feeling, just always preferred that kind of frosting."

Evelynne takes the last bite of the cakes and stood up. "Thank you for your time, I'll be back later this week. I'll bring in some samples of flowers for you for the cake."

"Thank you very much, have a pleasant evening miss." Amelia stands up and shakes Evelynne's hand.

Watching as she leaves, she sits back down on her seat. Sitting back she thinks about how this is going to be an interesting month, getting things ready, and hoping that any more custom orders will be easier.
