Sierra had felt like she had been policing her two older brothers for her entire life. When she stepped into Cauztown police academy she finally felt like she was where she belonged.

Sierra was slightly nervous or excited she couldn't quite decide, but she knew she was eager to earn her way onto the force.

Davis, the young man seated next to Sierra during academy orientation, had a different attitude.

For Davis the academy was the first boring step on his long adventurous journey of becoming a detective.

Davis's life goal was to be a great detective, Davis himself was not sure why he wanted to be a detective, but his curious nature and deep distrust in all humanity would be a strong foundation for him to grow upon.

Davis had already decieded before taking a seat that the entire acedemy was below him. A rather arrogant mindset considering Davis desperately needed the training and experience this particular police academy would provide him.

Next to Davis with a sour and tired face sat Evelyn. Evelyn was a bit older looking than the rest of the class.

On paper she was the same age but in person she looked older, it was as if life had sucked her of more life and joy than the others in the room.

Next to Evelyn was Earl, who was overall motivated but had no specific desire towards the acedemy. As he sat in orentation he himself could not articulate what it was that he hoped to learn or aquire.

Originally Earl had a deep yearning for journalism, but had been searching for a topic he was passionate about. He obviously had not found such a subject.

Academy orientation was officially underway and the four new strangers were set to work as a unit for the whole first day.

The first thing that each member was told about was the brand new police academy house and how the group with highest scores at the end of the day would be getting the keys.

Sierra, Davis, Evelyn and Earl all looked at each other for a moment as if to signify the seriousness of the day ahead.

Each member of the group seemed up for the challenge. So did the members of all the other groups as well.

As the orientation progressed it became a landslide, Sierra, Davis, Evelyn, and Earl were dominating every competition.

Sierra and Davis were the top performers but Evelyn and Earl also brought their A games.

By the end of the day the group had become top of the class.

Some days it's you get what you get but today for Evelyn and Earl it was you get where you sit.

Call it luck but Evelyn and Earl couldn't believe it.

They had both filled out applications hoping to be granted acedemy student housing.

The student housing available at the Cauztown acedemy was no match to the swanky police house.

The acedemy housing was closer to the campus but the arrangements were two to a room.

The police house on the other hand offered four separate apartments fully furnished with individual bathrooms and showers, a pool, community kitchen and dinning, maid service and food faculty.

It was quite luxurious and it was a new edition, Sierra and the gang would be the first students to stay in the house.

Brand spanking new and Evelyn and Earl were celebrating, while Sierra and Davis seemed to be focused on preparing for the next day.

Evelyn awoke the next morning overjoyed and felt light for the first time in a few years.

Evelyn was grateful in her morning bath as she enjoyed the privacy of her luxurious bath tub.

Evelyn knew her situation had improved dramatically and she was not going to take her opportunity for granted.

Evelyn decided to get a jump on her training by running to the acedemy three hours before drills were to begin!

Evelyn thought she would beat her instructors to the acedemy but instead arrived to her teachers in the middle of a vigorous work out.

Evelyn stood out to the entire faculty and was caught loudly saying things like her group of new recruits were going to be the best ever.

She even convinced the sarge to let her take the acedemy van to pick up the rest of her roommates.

Agreeing set up everyone, except for Davis, to have a stellar reputation. They were living up to their name as the leaders of the rest of the recruits.

The other recruits arrived to see thier leaders minus Davis preparing hours before first drills.

A new standard had already been set by Evelyn and her team.
