Boys and Girls

What is hilarious about the boys and girls? There is more to life than the birds and the bees. Well, with a little exception to young girls.

They just can’t sit there and do nothing (with the exception of a few who have an injury). They need a pastime!

What are some good pastimes of a boy and a girl?

For a boy, wouldn’t fishing at a long pond with friends be good? No bullying. No competition. Just other than who catches the biggest fish...making sure to throw the prize trophy back in. Hopefully no worms are used!

Maybe they browse through catalogs for what they want from Santa Claus.

Other pastimes may include playing cards or Checkers with their Father. Maybe being an altar boy at church. Maybe they are in the Boy Scouts.

Maybe Mother packs a nice lunch. At this point, Mother is the only woman in a young boy’s life, which is kind-of hilarious! In other words, the boy has not bonded yet with a girl.

For a girl, what is a good pastime? Why not swing on a swing with another gal pal? Back and forth from a tree. Maybe from a pear tree. Who knows. What do they talk about? BINGO. I bet boys. Who is the cutest. What should they wear. Were they invited to the latest party. Yes, hormones are flying for them. No wonder the fathers of girls have a rough job.

Many young girls play with make-up. Many young girls throw pajama parties. Many young girls learn how to cook and bake from their Mother.

Then, one Christmas, all are grown up. Poof! Like magic! Well, What was there to do?

Oh my gosh! They had to mingle like adults over coffee and wine, spaghetti and pie!

They feel difficult as all of that “bonding” is just now taking place.

Maybe they find out that Rosie made the spaghetti and guests want second helpings and want to take some home! Maybe they find out that Frank cooked the turkey and guests want to make sandwiches with the leftovers! Do you see the connection here? They are bonding!

Anna simply cannot cook but can cook up a verbal storm. So, she can be found in the living room waiting for any guest to talk to. That is Joe’s cue to escape the boredom. Actually, that is his excuse… he is very attracted to her.

April is the photographer of the group. She just has to take a photo of everyone and anyone as if for a major magazine. Who knows? Maybe she might take a photo of Mr. Right? Which brings the story to Mark who is handsome and available and Lord help us all! Don’t you just love a good love story? April is a good girl. Mark is a good guy.

You get the point, right? What is happening? They are BONDING and not children anymore.. No more fishing at long ponds. No more girls at swing sets from a pear tree. No religious talk here, but do you think some higher power plays matchmaker?

The “men” made it a tradition to go to their long pond every Christmas to just sightsee with their families . The “women” now go to their pear tree swing set to sightsee as well with their families.

This story may be fiction but is silly and hopefully gives you a good belly laugh which is very, very healthy for you! This upcoming Christmas, make it a tradition to do laughter therapy, which tutorials may be found on YouTube and all instruction is fiction.
