He looked down at the body.
It was emaciated and looked almost frozen.
The lips were drawn back in a rictus grin.
Who was it, and why was it here? In fact, he wondered why he was standing looking over this body.
He didn't feel cold, although it was obviously cold. There was frost on the body and on the slab, although they were in a dark cave, or was it a crypt?
He was still confused.
How did he get here, and what was he doing here?
He looked more closely at the face; it looked a little familiar.
He concentrated.
Though it was distorted, probably by pain and fear, there was no doubt that those features were his own.
Then there was a freezing hand on his shoulder, and a dark voice said:
"It's time to leave your body behind, your next stage awaits"
