Petra wasn't completely unappealing herself, although her own looks weren't a particular concern of hers. Still, looking at her wasn't a pain at all. She was 5'1 with a thick and muscular yet petite frame, her eyes a deep brown and dark brown hair that flowed right below her shoulders, highlighting her olive tone skin that nearly boasted of no blemishes, except for an occasional zit at her jaw line or forehead temples. And her cute little heart shaped face made it hard to take her serious when she was upset. So it was no wonder that Ivan seemed to be enraptured by her beauty.

As he stood there with a charming white smile, his hand placed gently on her shoulder, she could feel a lump form in her throat from the mere nervousness he provoked within her. "What did you do with that creep from earlier? Take him to tea or something?" she snapped, nudging Ivan's hand off of her shoulder. When she turned around earlier to see who had touched her, she saw that the perv from earlier was nowhere in sight.

Ivan let out a soft yet raspy chuckle.

"No, I had one of my cousins give him a good talking to, and he just anxiously scurried off. So we're good."

Petra rolled her eyes. "One of your cousins, huh?" she said, eyeing a short and lanky man clad in a black t-shirt and trousers, with black slicked back hair who stood at least five feet away from Ivan, who seemed to be thoroughly watching both of them.

She looked back at Ivan who's eyes were utterly captivating. They were two pools of ice blue that could have easily been her own kryptonite.

"You doing anything tomorrow?" said Ivan. Petra finally swallowed the lump in her throat.

"Yes. Working," she said, her voice scratchy and weak.

"Give me your phone," he said, gently reaching out an open hand.

"How do I know I can trust you? How do I know you're not some lunatic who will stuff me in the back of his trunk?" Ivan chuckled again. "Only one way to find out," he replied in a soft, smooth, and seductive tone. With her heart beating out of her chest, she handed her phone to him, and he entered his number into her phone under the name "Ivan the Great." Red flag number one, undetected and swept under the rug.

"Call me when you get off work. I'm taking you to the best restaurant in town. Pretty girl like you deserves the royal treatment."

And from then on, for a sum total of two months, Petra devoted all of her time to Ivan. When she wasn't working as a waitress, her and Ivan would roam the streets of Vel City, and her family, especially her cousin Thor, were all the wiser. No one knew about this whirlwind romance of hers except Frank, the bouncer who kept a watchful eye on Petra whenever her and Ivan frequented the club.

And how entranced she was with Ivan. His old money background, combined with his eye for the finer things, and his abundance of free time, on top of his obession with Petra, all made her feel like a princess. Which is why at first, it was difficult for her to see the ugly character hiding beneath Ivan's prince charming demeanor.

But eventually she began to notice how he would snap at a waitress for getting his order wrong, and how he would boast of his wealth only to belittle people who didn't have it. And that is when she had to end it.

When she broke-up with Ivan, he seemed to take it pretty well. "I understand I'm a lot ot handle at times," he admitted. "You do deserve better than that, and I wish you the best," he said, in the sweetest of tones.

"Thanks...I'm glad you get it," she replied.

And for the next three months, Petra went about her life as if Ivan had never been apart of it. Which is why she couldn't wrap her head around Ivan's psychotic attempt at winning her back through kidnapping Thor, given that she had never spoken of any of her family members in Ivan's presence.
