Life is too short to not spend it doing what you love. And that is why I write. Because I have a continuous burning fire and love for it.

Battling Guilt Part 8: Rescue Attempt
Petra's heart was palpating and her brow was dripping with beads of sweat by the time she reached the top of the building. Not because she over exerted herself; her super-human strength for the most part prevented her from feeling the typical affects of over-exertion. No, she wasn't tired. She was nervous. She hadn't seen nor spoke to Ivan for months, despite his attempts at contacting her.

Battling Guilt Part 7: More of Petra &Ivan's Origin Romance
Petra wasn't completely unappealing herself, although her own looks weren't a particular concern of hers. Still, looking at her wasn't a pain at all. She was 5'1 with a thick and muscular yet petite frame, her eyes a deep brown and dark brown hair that flowed right below her shoulders, highlighting her olive tone skin that nearly boasted of no blemishes, except for an occasional zit at her jaw line or forehead temples. And her cute little heart shaped face made it hard to take her serious when she was upset. So it was no wonder that Ivan seemed to be enraptured by her beauty.

Battling Guilt Part 6
Petra heard the echo of her own foot steps behind her as she climbed the flight of stairs, as she felt a wad of heat and tension gather in her feet and hands. Her emotions felt stiff yet chaotic some how. Oh how she desperately wanted to wring Ivan's neck. That was all she could think about; that and relieving Thor from the excruciating company of “Ivan the Great,” a nickname he gave himself that he was no doubt resounding in Thor’s presence. It was Ivan’s cheesy attempt at asserting male dominance. Ew. Poor cousin Thor.

Battling Guilt Part 5: A Set Up
"I think this is a set-up," Frank said, carefully attempting to duck the hospital door entrance, which was a rusty metal door that seemed to have been ripped from its hinges, leaning against a previously conjoined door that was still in tact.

Battling Guilt Part 4: A Date With Ivan
Petra felt a shit-storm of nerves brewing inside of her while she was on the phone with Ivan. She shifted the weight on her feet from left to right while occasionally chewing on the fingernail of her right index finger. "What, what could you possibly want from me Ivan? We ended things, remember?" she said in a soft tone, trying desperately to hide her nervousness. Ivan let out a gentle chuckle. "Oh Petra, you know me better than that," he began, "I always finish what I start," he said with a growl.

Battling Guilt, Part 3: The Ex
Petra was tempted to lose her cool because her gut feeling caused her to assume the worst. Was he mugged?? Did he get hit by a bus? Was he violently accosted because he took a turn into the wrong alley at the wrong time? Petra was ballistic on the inside, but on the outside, she stood calm and cool, her stance solid as a brick.

Battling Guilt Part 2: Petra's Cousin Disappears
"Got your 'ID' ready?" Petra said, eyeing Thor as he nervously fumbled in his pocket to grab his wallet. "No. I'm not in a people mood tonight but I'm only going because of you. So if we get caught I'm going to resent you."
