Chapter 1

Unknown Transmission

During the events of Code: Red, Jeremiah was captured in the Shadow Energy Core, Tiffany was corrupted by Darkness’s forces, and Darkness successfully sieged the Agency forcing the agents to retreat to Superhero HQ 9 in the Pokémon World leading up to the events of Operation: Spy & Seek. After the corruption of Tiffany, Nic is downtrodden with no idea of what to do. However, Head Spikey assigns him the mission of spying on Darkness with the help of Tech Boy and Tech Girl. Everything goes well at first until Tiffany discovers Nic and he is forced to utilize his knockout gas. Unfortunately, Darkness captures him and corrupts him subsequently breaking Tech Boy and Tech Girl’s cover forcing them to make a hasty retreat. Meanwhile, Jeremiah is facing his greatest fears in the Shadow Energy Core on the brink of exhaustion when Linda shows up and reminds him of the pain and suffering he put her through. However, she merges with the Shadow Energy Core allowing Jeremiah to escape along with her. Now on to the feature presentation.

“So you’re saying that Jeremiah escaped while you were busy at the Agency?” asks somebody in front of a computer monitor.

“That is correct. According to the Evil Robloxian, the core collapsed, and he managed to escape with some girl he’s never seen before. I currently have no clue how he managed to do it, but I’m betting the girl has something to do with it. According to the guards’ statements, she appeared from within the core. I currently got Bowser Jr. and Herbert working on a couple of new cores. One for research, one for convenience,” answers a deep, ominous voice on the other side of the line.

“I see. I can confirm that Jeremiah has returned here to Superhero HQ 9 along with some mysterious girl who is currently being detained on suspicion of working with you. May I ask what your orders are regarding her?

“My orders are to detain and capture her when you can. She could be vital to figuring out why the core collapsed.”

“Yes, Master Darkness. I also have some good news to report.”

“What is it?”

“There is a supply ship incoming from the Pokémon world to the new Agency. I have a sneaking suspicion that Jeremiah will be assigned to escort it. I’ll send you the details so you can intercept it.”

“Good work. Send me the coordinates for Superhero HQ 9 while you’re at it. Those will come in handy later,” states Darkness.

“Yes, Master Darkness. I will send those right away.”

“One more thing,” interjects Darkness.

“Yes, Master Darkness?”

“I’m adding Tech Boy to your list of targets. Bowser Jr. is ticked off at him for killing his father and is out for revenge. I like that attitude of his, plus I got a bone to pick with him for the same reason. Good minions are hard to come by. I preferably want him alive, but I’ll accept him dead.”

“Alive?” asks the voice as it sends the data over to Darkness.

“Yes, alive.”

“May I ask why?” asks the voice.

“To make an example out of him and possibly destroy everything he loves and holds dear as I force him to watch. However, I’m still debating on that last part.”

The data finishes uploading, and the voice reports, “The data has been successfully sent. I will contact you again when more information comes up.”

“Alright. Do not fail me. You know what I do to failure.”

“Yes, Master Darkness. Understood.”

He ends the transmission.

Chapter 2

Linda’s Interrogation

Linda, a young woman with jade eyes wearing loosely green garments, is currently sitting inside an interrogation room inside Superhero HQ 9. She is rather annoyed by the fact that the first thing they do to her when she wakes up is to send her here. The door finally opens and a tall, burly man with five o’ clock shadow wearing a Sherlock Holmes hat holding a piping hot cup of coffee walks in. He closes the door behind him, walks over to the table in the center of the room, sets down his cup of coffee on said table, and takes a seat on the opposite end.

Linda is starting to get a little antsy tapping her fingers on the table as the burly man gets out a notepad and a pencil. He asks her, “Name?” Linda hesitates for a moment before replying, “Linda.”

He takes a quick note of that before asking calmly as if he’s done this many times over, “Linda, I am Detective Matsusushi of the Superheroes and I will be interrogating you today. Before I get started, are there any questions you would like to ask me?”

Linda replies angrily, “Why am I in here? I just wake up in this place and am told to come here.”

He jots something down in his notebook before answering, “Your confusion is highly understandable. Would you like me to explain the reason for your detainment?”

“Detainment!?” half-shouted Linda both shocked and furious at the same time slamming her hands on the table.

“I’ll take that as a yes.” He jots down some more notes before continuing, “You are currently being detained under suspicion of working with Darkness and possibly aiding in his recent kidnapping of Jeremiah.”

Linda now standing up softly yells, “I don’t even know who this Darkness guy is!”

He jots something down while asking, “Then, how did you get into the Shadow Realm?”

“Shadow Realm?” asks Linda genuinely confused.

Matsusushi looks her over from head-to-toe looking for any symptoms of lying before writing down more notes in his notepad.

“In that case, where did you find the core?”

Before she had a chance to answer, the door opened quite loudly as Jeremiah, a young man around 14 years of age with slightly messy brown hair that looks like an attempt was made to tame it and blue eyes reflecting the seriousness of the situation, walks in. He walks over to Matsusushi and orders, “Detective Matsusushi, I would like you to cease and desist all interrogation/investigation of Linda effective immediately.”

He stands up and objects, “On what grounds?”

Jeremiah replies quickly not planning on taking no for an answer, “On the grounds that I was there and saw what happened.”

To which Matsusushi challenges, “Then tell me what happened.”

“Very well.” They both sit down facing each other on the same side of the table. The tension between the two of them at that moment was very thick. Linda also sits back down as Matsusushi takes a sip of his cup of coffee before Jeremiah begins explaining himself.

“I was very exhausted by the time the core broke apart. It came with no warning and I suddenly found myself free. When I fell down to the ground, I saw her standing before me. (Linda scoffed.) All of a sudden, she was knocked out by one of Darkness’s minions. I don’t know how though. I honestly thought she was hit on the back of the head. In my current state, I couldn’t fight off any of Darkness’s minions even to save my own skin. In the end, I used my sword to teleport us out of there.”

Matsusushi jotted down some more notes before replying, “Has anybody told you what my ability is?”

“No. No one has,” answers Jeremiah a little bit concerned now.

“My ability allows me to tell when someone’s lying by allowing me to see an aura when they lie.”

Jeremiah has a slight shocked reaction while Linda was contemplating this.

“And while there were bits of truth scattered in that lie, a lie it ultimately was. Therefore, I ask for an appeal on your order.”

“Ok, I have no clue what you’re talking about nor do I care. And Jeremiah, what possible reason could you have for lying about what happened in…”

It suddenly hit her what was going on and why he was trying to stop the interrogation. She started shaking in fear and stuttering, “In…in…in”.

Jeremiah gets off the chair and runs to her. “Linda, are you alright?”

She yells, “Get away from me.” She swings wildly at him, but it barely knocks him back.

She gets off the chair and runs toward the exit. Before she ever opened the door, she fell down on her knees in front of it tears in her eyes. Matsusushi walks up to her, kneels down, and asks sympathetically, “I have one last question for you. Have you ever worked with Darkness or any of his associates knowingly?” She looks at him with tear-soaked eyes and shakes her head. “Then, you’re free to go.”

She stands up, wipes her face with her arm, and leaves the room.

Matsusushi stands up and after a couple of minutes, he says, “I would like to cancel my appeal request. Right now, she is not a spy for Darkness, but I must ask, why did you lie earlier?”

To which Jeremiah respondes, “Right now, the truth is classified information and it needs to stay that way. If it gets out, it’ll ruin her life. This is the best way I can protect her.”

He reaches for his hat resting on his head and says, “Understood.” Matsusushi grabs his cup of coffee and they both leave the room.

Chapter 3

Meeting with Head Spikey

Jeremiah enters Head Spikey’s temporary office and the automatic door closes itself. Head Spikey, a black dog with a brown underbelly wearing a spiked collar, turns around and says, “Greetings, Agent Jeremiah. Good to see you again. Before we get started, I would like to congratulate you for your feats at the Battle of the Agency for, despite your capture, you did exceptionally well holding back the forces of Darkness.”

Jeremiah scratches the back of his head and says, “Umm…thanks.”

“Because of your bravery, heroism, and feats at the Battle of the Agency in addition to all the hard work you have done thus far, I’m officially promoting you to Field Agent Second Class,” congratulates Head Spikey right before a round of applause sound effect plays.

Jeremiah looks around frantically and asks, “Where did that sound effect come from?”

“From the computer,” responds Head Spikey with no clue on how to respond to that.

Jeremiah regains his composure and starts, “Oh. Umm…Anyway, thanks for the promotion but I don’t de-” and then it hits him and he states, “Wait a minute! Did you say Field Agent Second Class?”

“Yes,” answers Head Spikey.

“Does that mean I was literally a third-class agent? No wonder I had to do so much grunt work.”

Head Spikey quickly grew tired of his ranting so he shoots a fireball at him. Jeremiah just barely dodges it by hugging the wall to the right side resulting in it hitting the door.

Head Spikey clears his throat and continues, “Anyway, your new promotion comes with a ship. I call it the Rustbucket.” On the screen behind Head Spikey, the Rustbucket appears showing an old, slightly rusty two-man ship that was designed specifically for maneuverability. The screen turns off and Head Spikey comments, “I miss my old popup screen.”

Jeremiah responds, “Umm…ok. Anyway, thanks for the promotion. I’m really glad to get it. Honest, I am, but I was wondering if I could have the day off today even though I just got back from Darkness’s capture.”

Head Spikey replies, “No. According to the doctors, you’ll be fine to work today. Now then, head or sanitary?”

Jeremiah sighs and contemplates this for a moment before responding, “Sanitary.”

Chapter 4

Linda’s Tears

Linda is breathing heavily in the dark, dimly lit, underground hallway doing her best to avoid having a panic attack, the lights flickering as she walks. She is about to pass by the Medical Department when a certain black-haired boy with brown eyes walks out of there. The boy is wearing a patient robe and his hands are scarred from burning. He is also having a difficult time breathing but more so from pain than panic.

He limps in Linda’s direction, barely keeping his footing, attempting to go who knows where while clutching to the wall for support before falling to his knees. The boy struggles back up as a nurse comes out of the Medical Department.

She scolds, “Tech Boy, you are in no condition to be going anywhere!”

Tech Boy retorts, “And I told you I’m needed in the lab. I’d rather be working on something than twiddling my thumbs here.”

All Linda could do was watch, the scene momentarily distracting her from her panic. Tech Boy begins to limp away as the nurse lunges at him. Linda instinctively grabs the nurse’s arm. “I’ll…” she begins as a million thoughts race through her head all questioning why she is doing this before continuing, “keep an eye on him.” This sudden declaration makes Tech Boy pause for a brief moment. He pokes his head towards the location of the unfamiliar voice. Linda lets go of the nurse’s arm and puts Tech Boy’s arm around her.

Tech Boy had a lot of questions but before he could ask any, Linda asked one of her own, “So, which way?”

Tech Boy replies awkwardly, “Umm…that way.” He points in the direction he was originally limping towards and Linda begins walking him to his destination. The nurse watches them walk away, even going so far as to scoff at them, in sheer annoyance before going back to work.

Once they were out of earshot, Tech Boy asks, “So do I know you? You look kind of familiar.” Linda replies with a stern “No” as they kept walking.

“Thanks for the assist by the way, but I must ask: why did you help me?”

Linda stops. “I…” she pauses, “don’t know.”

They continue walking and Tech Boy asks her, “Can I at least get your name?”

She answers quickly, “Linda.”

“Turn over here.”

They turn the corner and as they pass a door Linda asks, “So…how did you get burned anyway?”

He gazes at the palm of his burnt hand and answers reluctantly, “Bowser. He nearly burned me alive and I…I…killed him. We’re here.”

They stop for a brief moment and look at the door next to them, their destination on the other side. They turn toward it and approach causing the door to open up revealing a huge open room lined with dozens upon dozens of computer monitors and keyboards on its wall manned by a multitude of personnel. In the center of the room is a huge rotating hologram of some kind of odd technological chamber. Behind said hologram was a girl who bore striking resemblance to Tech Boy with a headset on.

She speaks into her headset, “Ok, everyone I want the blueprints ready for the shadow energy scanner done ASAP. We need this thing built as soon as possible.” Linda and Tech Boy slowly walk in her direction. The head scientist turns her head around in response to their footsteps revealing herself to be none other than Tech Boy’s sister, Tech Girl. After catching sight of them, she walks over to them to scold Tech Boy, “You’re supposed to be in bed recuperating.”

Tech Boy retorts at her, “I was going to go stir-crazy in there. I was this close (he put his thumb and his finger really close in a pinching-like gesture) to upgrading the IV machine out of pure boredom.”

“I don’t care how bored you are! Go back there and finish your recovery,” argues Tech Girl.

Linda tries to hold back a laugh but fails miserably as she lets a big one slip. Tech Boy and Tech Girl cease their arguing due to the shock caused by the sudden outburst of laughter.

Tech Girl asks, “Is she with you?”

“Umm…”

Linda’s laughing subsides and she apologizes, “Sorry, didn’t mean to interrupt you. It’s just that you two seem to really care about each other a lot and I couldn’t help myself.”

Tech Girl scratches her head in utter bewilderment and asks her, “Who are you again?”

“Sorry, I guess I never introduced myself. My name is Linda. Nice to meet you, umm…”

“Tech Girl.”

“Right, Tech Girl.”

Tech Girl looks her over suddenly coming to a realization. She says, “Wait a minute,” before heading back to her desk/keyboard behind the hologram. Tech Girl fumbles with some files literally on her keyboard until she finds the one she is looking for. As she opens it, Tech Boy asks Linda, “Is there something wrong?” Linda’s sweating from nervousness. Tech Girl closes the folder she had open and mumbles, “As I thought.” Linda takes one step back ready to run forgetting she was still hanging on to Tech Boy.

He exclaims to Tech Girl, “I think you’re scaring her.”

Tech Girl exclaims frantically, “Wait, no, it’s not what you think.”

Linda stops, guard still up, but lets Tech Girl approach her. Tech Girl runs over there. She apologizes and explains, “Sorry about that. I just recognized that your appearance matches the description of the girl Jeremiah rescued.”

“Oh,” says Linda both relieved and depressed at the same time. She steps back to her previous position; her head hung low.

“Is something wrong?” asks Tech Girl.

“You can tell us,” reassures Tech Boy.

Her head floods with a million thoughts once again. Their main question being “Why Jeremiah?” Too many thoughts disconnected from one another race in her head until tears flowed down her cheeks. She sobs, “He…never saved me. He just left me alone. In that hellscape. I…(her thoughts turn to the events in the Core)…saved…him?...” Her tears hit the floor as the sudden realization hits her. She sobs harder as her emotions overwhelm her causing her to drop down on her knees causing Tech Boy to drop with her. “Is that why he’s doing this? To pay back a debt?” With one of her hands now clenched down on the floor she continues weeping like an endless water fountain. As she cries her heart out, Tech Boy and Tech Girl look at each other in the eyes. A mutual understanding between them about their next course of action.

Chapter 5

Important Discussion

The ceiling of the Ship Bay opens up as a small slightly rusty two-man ship lowers itself inside for a landing. When it lands, the cockpit opens up and Jeremiah hops out of it only to be greeted by the stern looks of Tech Boy, who is now using crutches, and Tech Girl.

As the ceiling closes back up, Jeremiah scratches his head in confusion and greets, “Yo, what up?”

Tech Boy says calmly yet firmly, “We need to talk to you about Linda.”

Jeremiah takes a deep breath, not surprised by this sudden turn of events, before asking, “Alright, but can it wait until after my meeting with Head Spikey? I just finished a mission.”

Tech Boy reluctantly agrees, “Fine.”

They walk over to Head Spikey’s temporary office and stop in front of the door. Jeremiah says, “Wait here. It should only take a few minutes.”

Tech Girl warns him, “Don’t try sneaking away from us by going through some secret passage or something.”

Jeremiah responds sarcastically, “Oh, puh-lease! If I did that, you would have a witness.”

Tech Girl pouts angrily half-expecting a holographic Head Spikey in there. The automatic door opens and Jeremiah walks in where he is immediately greeted by, “Hello Agent Jeremiah. I trust your mission was a success.”

The door closes behind Jeremiah as he replies, “Indeed, it was.” He sticks his hand into his pocket and pulls out a blueprint which he promptly hands over to Head Spikey.

“By the way, why do we need a Robloxian prison anyway?” asks Jeremiah.

Head Spikey opens up the blueprint as he says, “It’s supposed to be based off of the highly popular Prison Escape-. How the heck are you supposed to tell what this is?”

Jeremiah glances at the blueprint and sees a drawing that could have easily been made by an amateur artist his age and is still better than anything he can draw. While it currently vaguely resembles a prison to him right now, it can easily be interpreted as living quarters or barracks further down the line if left unlabeled.

“What’s the problem? It still looks better than anything I can draw,” commented Jeremiah.

Head Spikey responds, “You clearly do not understand art; and this is supposed to be a blueprint for gosh’s sake. Hopefully, that won’t cause any problems for the Superhero builders.”

“Well, it is clearly labeled in detail,” observed Jeremiah.

“Yes, but this chicken-scratch is much to be desired. (Head Spikey takes a deep breath.) I’ll send it to them later. For now, it’s time for the screen.”

“Oh yeah, screen time!” cheers Jeremiah.

The screen behind Head Spikey turned on and displayed a perfect 3D rendering of the Rolox habitat with the new room installed. It turned itself back off and Head Spikey murmurs afterwards, “I miss my old pop-up screen.”

“Yeah, this screen just takes away some of the dramatic effect,” responds Jeremiah nodding in agreement.

“By the way Agent Jeremiah. It has occurred to me earlier that I neglected to mention that thanks to your new promotion you can now have partners. The amount of partners you can have at any one time is directly equal to your ship level,” explains Head Spikey.

“Ship level?” questions Jeremiah in confusion.

Head Spikey asks him, “Did I forget to mention that earlier as well?”

Jeremiah nodded.

Head Spikey comments, “Wow. I wonder if I forgot my coffee this morning?” He shakes his head a bit, clears his throat, and continues, “There are many different ship levels available in the Agency ranging from 1-6. In order to even qualify for a ship, you must at least be a second-class field agent or equivalent thereof. Your current ship, the Rustbucket, is a Lv. 1 ship. While the highest level ship currently in the Agency is the Lv. 5 Phoenix Warbird owned by Nic and Tiffany. Levels 2-5 you will be allowed to name your own ship. In order to level up your ship, you must either complete a habitat or receive a ship upgrade during a mission. However, once you complete one habitat, you must complete all the others before you can level it up again. Any questions?”

Jeremiah was taking notes while Head Spikey was talking. Once he finished jotting them down he replies, “I got a couple of questions. I noticed that with the habitat method you can only earn up to a Lv. 3 ship with it alone. Why is that?”

“This is to make sure that only our top agents can get the best ships. I’m pretty sure that you have noticed by now how easy the Sanitary missions are compared to the Head missions, correct?”

Jeremiah replies, “Yeah, they’re essentially just side quests.”

Head Spikey nods and responds, “Exactly. Because of this, Sanitary missions are generally used to pursue ship upgrades rather than the mission method which is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Since these missions are less difficult, the reward is less. Plus, it helps save on the Agency’s finances.”

Jeremiah replies plainly with a hollow smile on his face, “I see. So just to make sure I heard everything correctly. The mission method is reviewed on a case-by-case basis whereas the habitat method is easier and more consistent but has a limit on it compared to the mission method.”

“Correct,” replies Head Spikey.

Jeremiah writes it down into his notepad before continuing, “One last question. You said the Agency’s current highest level ship is a Lv. 5 ship yet I heard you say that the level ranges from 1-6 earlier. What’s the deal with that?”

Head Spikey smiles deviously giving a little chuckle before he replies, “Lv. 6 is a legendary ship known as the Stormbreaker. It is spoken of in legend around the Agency as a ship so good nobody has earned it yet.” Jeremiah drops his pencil in astonishment mixed with excitement. Head Spikey continues, “Most agents don’t have the potential to unlock it, but if your file is anything to go by, I believe you have the potential to unlock it.”

“Whoa,” gasped Jeremiah in excitement.

“Any further questions?”

“No, sir!”

“Then that concludes the explanation of ship levels. Getting back to our previous topic, who do you want to select to be your partner? You can choose anyone from any habitat you unlocked.”

Jeremiah ponders it for a brief moment, his thoughts trailing back to Linda’s current predicament during this instance of thought. After that brief moment he answers, “Pikachu from the Super Smash Bros. habitat.”

“Alright, it’s time for the screen!”

Head Spikey presses a button on the console in a grandiose manner causing the screen to turn back on showcasing the Rustbucket in the Ship Bay with Pikachu already there.

Jeremiah asked the most obvious yet important question, “How did he get there so fast?”

Head Spikey guesses, “Don’t know. Quick Attack, maybe?”

“That is way too fast for a Quick Attack,” replies Jeremiah before the screen turned off.

“Well, that should do it for today. I have decided to approve your earlier request for time off so you may take the rest of the day off. Have a good day,” concluded Head Spikey.

“Thanks, see you later,” says Jeremiah as he stands up and walks back to the door. While the talk of the Stormbreaker did motivate him to want to do more sanitary missions he had more pressing matters of concern at the moment as revealed when the door opened with Tech Boy and Tech Girl waiting on the other side for him, their stern looks still on their faces. Jeremiah gestures to his right and states, “Now, if you’ll follow me to my office, we can get this whole thing sorted out.” The two of them nod as they follow Jeremiah to his office at the back of Superhero HQ 9. Upon walking in, another Jeremiah was already there making sure some papers were stacked neatly.

The Jeremiah that just came in with Tech Boy and Tech Girl greeted the other one, “Yo, you got that paperwork done?”

The other Jeremiah replies, “Yep. I just got done.”

“Cool. I managed to get us the rest of the day off.”

“Awesome.”

The Jeremiahs grab each other’s hands and shook them before they turned into blue slime combining into one entity in an unnecessarily dramatic way where they suddenly expanded to the ceiling of the office rapidly swirling into each other gradually reducing size until returning to their original size. The slime took Jeremiah’s form before solidifying and regaining its color forming one Jeremiah. That Jeremiah takes a deep breath before saying, “Ok, so Linda right?”

He walks over to his desk pressing a button on it locking the door. Jeremiah then takes a seat once they’re locked in and warns, “Now keep in mind that this information is highly classified and is not to leave this room.”

Tech Boy and Tech Girl both gulp and acknowledge, “Understood.” Each one taking a seat in front of Jeremiah’s desk.

Jeremiah types something using the keyboard on his desk opening a panel on the left side of the wall revealing a screen. Jeremiah states, “Please direct your attention to that screen.” The other two turned their chairs towards the screen causing Tech Boy to wince in pain a bit. Jeremiah was slightly concerned about it but decided not to press it and move forward. He moves his cursor to a folder labeled Nightmares and double clicks it causing a password prompt to pop up. Jeremiah enters the password opening up the contents of the folder before scrolling down to a file titled Linda the Werewolf and attempts to open it as well causing a second password prompt to pop up. Tech Boy chimes in, “Wait…I remember that file.”

Jeremiah enters the password as he replies, “Yeah, Lv. Nightmare as you called it. By the way, why did you take an airplane to Canada that day anyway? It baffles me to this day since we had a spaceship, or at least a rocket back then.”

“I don’t remember,” answers Tech Boy as the file opens.

On the left side of the screen it shows a rotating 3D model of a much younger Linda constantly switching between her human and werewolf forms. On the right side were 4 text boxes detailing her known information.

“Holy crap, it’s the exact same,” mutters Tech Boy.

“Yep, that’s correct. The Linda I brought here is the same one from this file,” states Jeremiah for the record.

Tech Boy gasped while Tech Girl questions, “But the Linda in this file is just a part of your dreams or just a figment of your imagination while the one over here is clearly real. What makes you so sure they’re one in the same?”

“An excellent question. That’s because she told me herself. When I was trapped in the Shadow Energy Core it constructed her, possibly from my subconscious thoughts. She was one of many; however, every construct seemed to at least have a fragment of the original’s mind. However, when she showed up everything changed.”

Tech Girl gulps as Jeremiah continues, “She completely stole the show and showed more personality and diction than the rest of the constructs. She gained sentience and became the core itself.”

Both of them have shocked expressions on their face. Tech Boy speaks up in shock, “Hold up, hold up! So you’re telling us that she’s a living, breathing Shadow Energy Core?”

“Yep,” confirmed Jeremiah plainly.

After getting over the shock of it all, Tech Girl stated, “That explains the odd readings the doctors got off her. There’s one thing I don’t get though.”

“And what’s that?” asks Jeremiah curiously.

“Why does she have abandonment issues? If she was created by the core, that seems kind of…counterproductive,” asks Tech Girl.

“Well, I believe that she has essentially become the real Linda or maybe she already was. I don’t know. Anyway, she blames me for sending her to the Nightmare Realm,” answers Jeremiah.

Tech Boy gets up and grabs his crutches as Tech Girl responded critically, “So you expect me to believe that our dreams are its own separate dimension?”

Tech Boy commandeers Jeremiah’s computer. Jeremiah gets off his chair and passes it to Tech Boy, so he doesn’t have to stand before walking over to Tech Girl and responds, “Technically two but is it really that hard to believe? I mean we faced planet-destroying gods so why not a dream world?”

Tech Boy chimes in, “Dream World or not, aren’t we going to talk about the fact that she’s a werewolf according to this file?”

“Don’t worry. This paperwork should get her off world before nightfall,” states Jeremiah holding the paperwork he was working on when they walked in.

“Not my point, but did you even think this through? Looking through this file and the fact that she’s a living, breathing Shadow Energy Core makes me understand your rush to get her out of here but think about it. According to my research on werewolves, they transform during a full moon. So, what happens if you send one into space especially near a moon? Does it automatically transform and if so would it be harder to control because of the extra moonlight? It could even be stronger in those conditions, if it survives, that is.”

Jeremiah was utterly flabbergasted by Tech Boy’s rebuttal. These were thoughts that have never occurred to him before, questions never asked, yet questions that needed immediate answers. Tech Girl was just as shocked as Jeremiah. It was now clear that further testing was needed to ensure Linda’s safety yet at the same time it presented more risk to her.

Jeremiah states, “Tech Boy, I think you hit the nail on the head. Those are questions I never thought of before nor do I think anyone in the history of mankind has thought of before.”

Tech Girl rebutted, “But if she’s a construct of the Shadow Energy Core, how do we know she still has werewolf capabilities?”

Jeremiah answers, “I saw her transform in the Core and I’m pretty sure it’s a safe bet that she kept all unique identifying characteristics upon merging with it but whether or not she can control herself in her werewolf form outside the Core is iffy at best.”

“So, our first objective will be identifying whether or not she is still a werewolf and if so, how much control she has in that form,” states Tech Boy.

They nod in agreement and afterwards a thought occurred to Jeremiah, “Wait, I just thought of another idea.”

Tech Boy asks, “And what’s that?”

“What if I use the Mark of Palkia to send her to a different planet instead? That way, we bypass space-travel and instantly get her off-world. Best part, even harder to track than a spaceship.”

“Harder, but not impossible,” says Tech Boy.

“My point still stands,” replies Jeremiah mildly annoyed.

“Why don’t you just teleport her? We can’t track your teleportation just yet,” suggests Tech Girl.

“Good point,” responds Jeremiah.

Jeremiah contemplated these new thoughts before stating, “I think Tech Boy’s point still stands. We need to identify whether or not she can still transform. Luckily, we’re in the perfect place for it. This place is crawling with heroes and agents who are highly trained and can help us subdue her in case something goes horribly wrong. Just in case, do we have working teleporters to Superhero Stadium?”

Tech Girl responded as her face got smugger with every word, “Yes sir. All teleporters are in working order. I upgraded them this morning.”

“Why did you upgrade them?” asks Jeremiah confused as Tech Girl’s smug face is causing alarms to sound in his head.

Tech Girl replies with the smug smile still on her face, “Reasons.”

Jeremiah put his hand to his face in dis-belief half-covering his face. His response, “Whatever. Please at least tell me you tested it first.”

Tech Girl nods and replies, “Yep, I shoved Gary into it earlier.”

Tech Boy asks, “Should I just get out of the room?”

“Why?” asks Jeremiah.

Tech Boy replies with a blank expression on his face, “Never mind, you’re totally oblivious.”

Jeremiah responded confused, “I have no clue what you’re talking about.”

“Whatever, I’ll just go.”

Tech Boy grabs his crutches, stands up, unlocks the door, and limps his way out of the room slowly leaving just Jeremiah and Tech Girl in there. Tech Girl smiles deviously as a stunned Jeremiah asks, “What just happened?”

Tech Girl puts her arm on the desk and rests her head on the palms of her hand as she answers seductively, “I don’t know, but why don’t we discuss our plan over the course of lunch, just the two of us?~”

Jeremiah lightly blushes and stammers, “Oh…umm, ok.”

And that is how Jeremiah unknowingly got himself a date.
