As a teenage girl, Mia had never felt attracted to one of her teachers before. That was until Mr Smith walked into her English class at the beginning of the semester. He was tall, dark and handsome, and had a smile that lit up the room.

Mia found herself constantly daydreaming about him, staring at him during class, and even looking up his social media accounts just to see what he was up to. She knew it was wrong, but she couldn't help herself.

Unbeknownst to her, Mr Smith had noticed her staring and the way she behaved around him. He knew it was a risky territory and didn't want to give in to any desires he may have had. He was her teacher, and he had a professional obligation to her and the school.

However, as time passed, Mia's feelings only grew stronger. She found herself staying after class just to talk to him and even volunteering to help him with tasks around the school. She was determined to get his attention, and she was succeeding.

One day, after class had ended and everyone had left, Mia lingered in the classroom. Mr Smith knew what she was doing. He saw through her attempts to get close to him and put his foot down.

"Mia, I appreciate your interest in my class, but you need to understand that our relationship is strictly professional. I cannot allow anything else to happen."

Mia was devastated. She thought they shared a connection, but Mr Smith was right. It was dangerous territory, and he was doing the right thing by distancing himself from her.

Months passed, and Mia gradually came to realize that Mr Smith was right. She was grateful that he had shown her what was appropriate and what was not.

Years later, after Mia had graduated from college, she happened to run into Mr Smith at a coffee shop.

Mia: "Hey Mr. Smith, it's so good to see you! How have you been?"

Mr Smith: "I've been doing well, Mia. It's hard to believe you already graduated!"

Mia: "Yeah, time flies by so fast. But I'm excited to be a graduate. So, Mr. Smith, I wanted to ask you something."Mr Smith: "Sure, what's up?"

Mia: "Well, now that I've graduated, I was wondering if we could be friends. You've always been such a great teacher and mentor to me, and I'd love to stay in touch."Mr Smith: "Absolutely, Mia. I would love to stay in touch with you as well, I was just about to invite you over to my place for lunch this weekend if you're free."

Mia: "That sounds amazing! I'd love to. What time should I come over?"Mar. Smith: "How about noon this Saturday? I'll make my famous grilled cheese sandwiches and we can catch up on everything since your last day of high school."

Mia: "That sounds perfect. Smith. Thanks so much for inviting me over. I can't wait to see you." Mr Smith: "Me too, Mia. It's always great to spend time with you."

Mia left the coffee shop, feeling a little giddy with the thought of reconnecting with her favourite teacher. It had been years since she had seen him, but the feelings she'd once had for him were still lingering somewhere deep inside her. She tried to push them aside, reminding herself of how inappropriate it would be if she were to act on them.

But the invitation he'd just extended made her wonder if perhaps he felt the same way. She tried to push the thought aside, but it kept creeping back.

Saturday arrived, and Mia drove to Mr Smith's house, feeling nervous and excited at the same time. When she arrived, she was greeted with a warm smile and a hug. Mr Smith had not lost his charm, and Mia's heart skipped a beat.

The two sat down to eat lunch, and Mr Smith started telling her about his life since she'd last seen him. He had recently gotten divorced, and his teenage daughter was living with him full-time.

Mia was surprised to hear about his divorce and offered her condolences. Mr Smith seemed to brush it off, "It's okay, Mia. Sometimes things just don't work out. But enough about me, what about you? How was college? Did you enjoy it?"

The rest of the afternoon was spent catching up on old times, laughing, and talking about their favourite books and movies. Mr Smith was a great conversationalist, and Mia found herself getting lost in his stories and the sound of his voice.

As evening approached and Mia was getting ready to leave, Mr Smith surprised her by asking, "Mia, would you like to go grab a drink with me later tonight?"

Mia was taken aback but tried to play it cool. "Sure, that sounds great."

Later that night, they met at a local bar, and Mia was amazed to see a different side of Mr Smith. He was relaxed and funny, and they talked for hours without ever running out of things to say.
