Do superheroes exist in real life?

What superpower would you like to have?

Which real-life superhero do you like the most?

Real-life superheroes wear masks or costumes to perform everything from community service to fighting crime.

We have seen them in comics and in the last decades also in movies and television.

Many of us have dreamed of having their fascinating superpowers and, why not say it, also their impressive glamour.

But in the field world, there are no superheroes, and (unfortunately for many) when we talk about them, we refer exclusively to the fabulous world of science fiction or maybe not?

It was only a matter of time before, with time, the era in which we live.

Some anonymous person decided to mask himself and put on a peculiar tight-fitting costume to materialize his superhero’s vision.

What we might not have expected was that these real-life superheroes would become so numerous, as there are far more than we could ever imagine (there are more than 200 cases)

And some of them can be curiously dazzling.

What are they, and their functions as superheroes?

As in Marvel or DC comics, many of these superheroes fight crime as Batman himself would do; some go on night patrols hoping to find a criminal who does something illegal.

And then, with the stealth and skill of a genuine feline, they can corner him, pounce on him and report to the authorities.

As expected, these superheroes do not have the power to punish their enemies and catch them on their own, as they are not allowed to take the law into their own hands.

However, this does not discourage many of them.

Who still try to do their bit to make this a better place.

Others ignore the laws and take the law into their own hands.

Even if this only serves to turn them into real criminals themselves.

On the other hand, many of these heroes are not anonymous despite being disguised.

And their work is focused on helping others by going to hospitals to visit the sick, carrying out work that goes against pollution and all kinds of acts that, while it is true that they are not too reckless, still have their share of heroism.

Below is a list of 13 real-life heroes who dedicate their lives to fighting evil:

1. The Rain City Superhero Movement

The Rain City Superhero Movement developed in Seattle from 2011 to 2014.

And was a group formed by different costumed characters who tried to help the police (even though the police preferred them to stay away) to stop all kinds of criminals and avoid situations that could lead to disgrace.

During the existence of this group, its members collaborated in the capture of a sex offender, several vandals, and car thieves.

And even they prevented drivers from driving their cars while intoxicated.

2. Superbarrio Gómez

Mexico also has its superheroes.

The other identity of social activist Marco Rascón Córdova is that of Superbarrio Gómez, who has stated in more than one interview that his main objective is to defend human rights, especially those of the poor.

In addition, Superbarrio is already a recognizable political figure in Mexico City, where he has led different demonstrations and conducted countless negotiations with the authorities.

His appearance is quite recognizable, as he adapts the clothing of Mexican wrestling fighters, even being compared to the famous wrestler El Santo.

3. Entomo, the ‘insect man’ of Naples

Although most of these superheroes got concentrated in the United States, you can also find them in Italy.

In Naples, specifically, we have the case of Entomo, who has called himself ‘The Insect Man’ because of his incredible reflexes.

However, as he has stated in an interview, Entomo does not intend to replace the authorities but to prevent minor crimes and prevent the evil actions of others:

‘I fight individualism that eats my neighbor, and I fight people who do evil despite being able to prevent it. I fight consumerism and promote environmentalism and activism.

4. Menganno

That is the Argentine superhero. Dressed in black armor, helmet, and blue shield, Oscar Lefosse patrols the streets of Buenos Aires.

At the age of 43, the hero is a retired policeman from vigilantism.

In 2013, Lefosse shot some criminals and was framed for carrying an illegal weapon, as his license had already expired.

According to the hero, he only shot in self-defense since he protected himself and his wife.

As for the gun, Menganno stated that he keeps it at home while he is on the streets fighting crime.

5 . Mr. Extreme

The hero and his “Xtreme Justice League” (a group founded by Mr. Extreme himself) are committed to fighting crime in and around the city of San Diego.

As could not be otherwise, the identity of the vigilante is entirely unknown;

It got only known that he works as a security guard by day and dedicates his life against evil by night.

Motivated by his personal history — the hero was a survivor of a violent crime — Mr. Extreme goes out every night protecting the streets, helping the citizens, and providing services where they are needed.

Each superhero in the Xtreme Justice League has his style.

The hero’s uniform is an eclectic mix that includes bulletproof vests and stylized glasses.

Mr. Xtreme carries around 9 to 18 pounds of equipment every time he patrols the streets.

6. Angle Grinder Man

Who wears light blue tights, a gold mask that matches his boots, carries a big angle grinder everywhere he goes and only shows up on the darkest nights to help the citizens of Great Britain?

That’s Angle Grinder Man, a real-life hero who attends in Kent County (and on weekends in London), England.

The boy’s identity has already got discovered, but that doesn’t stop him from fighting crime.

His motto is,

“I despise the dishonest politicians that the people put them in power, and whom they claim to represent. “

On his nightly stakeouts, the hero patrols the streets searching for cars impounded with wheel clamps — when the driver gets too many parking tickets.

In England, the owner of the impounded car must pay the fine due to releasing the vehicle, or he can wait until the friendly neighborhood watchman does his job.

In less than a minute, the hero puts his angle grinder to use and cuts the (“bonds of freedom”).

7. Captain Australia

Active since 2009, Captain is a man in his mid-30s, two children’s father, and kind to animals.

His city of action is Brisbane, Australia. So can you guess where he got the idea to start his heroic deeds?

His uniform is identical to the character’s uniform created by Mark Millar, except for the (“@”) symbol on his chest.

According to the vigilante, he is a master in the art of judo, jiu-jitsu, kung-fu, and karate.

He has also been an amateur boxing champion, has a vast knowledge of parkour, knows countless details of criminal psychology, and has mastered the art of escapology,

He can escape from any situation, even if tied up.

His great weakness: he is afraid of heights.

8. Crimson Fist

The Crimson Fist faces his nemesis on the streets of Atlanta, Georgia.

Who would be the enemy? Homelessness, but he also intervenes in occasional crimes.

When he is not acting as a programmer, the hero of just over six feet provides food and clothes to the homeless in the Atlanta area.

Wearing white tights and a red mask to protect his identity,

The hero pulls out of his pocket to help those in need.

Donated items include clothes, shoes, cold sweaters, water bottles, and other accessories needed in homeless communities.

The sickness and death moved him.

It includes diarrhea, cholera, dysentery, and other stomach diseases.

Today, Master Legends helps keep the streets of Orlando safe and defends the homeless, elderly, and low-income families.

In addition, the superhero is also a role model for other heroes.

Donations sent to the team redirected to the community social actions and humanitarian events.

She connects with the general public through her microblog, which gathered 7000 followers before she even graced the streets, with her following peeking at roughly 20,000.

Bonus

13. Spectre, the perfect antagonist

As expected, while it is true that there are people who believe they are comic book superheroes, there are also those who take on the role of villains.

The case of Spectre got well known in the United States.

Although apparently, his period of activity seems to have come to an end in 2009, his identity is still totally unknown.

The information we can find about him is found in American newspapers ranging from 1987 to 1999,

However, we know that his crimes used to be on a small scale.

However, the US police have even stated that they have strong reasons to believe that Spectre was the criminal mastermind behind the famous robbery at the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum in 1990.

And that the missing works of art are still in his possession today.
