It’s a time for you to reinvent yourself, restructure your life, look at where you are and where you want to be, it’s your opportunity to build yourself a brand new life- designed EXACTLY how you want it to be. This is why I say that divorce is your golden opportunity to recreate your new life, redesign it the way you want it to be. And many people would love to have that opportunity in their late 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. Many people feel like they made mistakes and maybe they would have done things differently and maybe they would have done it in a more methodical manner or whatever else… everybody has their own thought….

The point here is that your divorce now or your decision to divorce is your decision to redesign your life, to refine your purpose in life: what is it that you want to do with your life? What is it that you want to accomplish in life? And, when you are thinking about this you are likely going to be thinking about a whole bunch of aspects in your life that you want to change, but I would start up by telling you WAIT… focus on one aspect in your life at a time. If you start to put in all things together, if you start to focus on everything all at once, you will become so overwhelmed that you will likely do nothing and you will not accomplish anything good. So, one thing that I always suggest to people is: Take your time and think about it. Take your time to discover yourself. Take your time to journal your thoughts or find a way to explore yourself more and this is what self development is all about. And this is why we always say the most important thing in your divorce journey is to find yourself again, to find your soul, to find your meaning and your purpose in your life so that the next chapter in your life can be as you WANT it to be.
