The Power of Yes: Victoria’s Journey to Becoming a Surrogate Twice
Published: January 6, 2026

Meet Victoria
Victoria Guilen, from Houston, is a proud mom of three daughters — 23, 18, and 15 — who keep her inspired and always on the go. When she’s not working as a Realtor or assisting a property management company with accounting, she enjoys traveling, dancing, reading, doing puzzles, playing games with her girls, and cheering at sporting events. Friends describe her as naturally nurturing — a trait that would guide her surrogacy journey.
The Calling To Become A Surrogate
Surrogacy wasn’t new to Victoria. For years, she told friends and family she’d carry for someone in need. One day, a call to become a surrogate appeared on her social media feed, sparking deeper research — and an important conversation with her daughters. Their support was crucial.
“To my surprise, they were very understanding,” she recalls. “So I set up the initial interview call… and the rest is history.”
Choosing a Surrogacy Agency
Victoria trusted her instincts and felt drawn to ConceiveAbilities from the first conversation.
“Everyone I spoke with was kind and supportive and genuinely cared about what they were doing. Everything went so smoothly,” she says.
She leaned on the ConceiveAbilities surrogate sisterhood — the Facebook group, support sessions, and her Match Manager — to navigate the journey with confidence.
“It can be information overload at times. Having those resources helped fill in gaps and gave me a place to ask questions I didn’t know how to ask. I felt very supported at every step of my surrogacy journey.”
Victoria went on to complete two successful surrogacy journeys.

Journey One: A Perfect Match
Victoria’s first intended parents lived in New York, but the connection was instant.
“I felt very comfortable with them right off the bat,” she says. As a busy single mom, she set clear expectations: her daughters came first — and the intended parents respected that.
Something unexpected happened: the intended mother became pregnant as well, and their babies were born just three months apart. The intended parents traveled to Houston for the delivery and stayed a week, allowing both families to bond deeply.
“Both kids and parents are doing great. It was amazing to see them,” Victoria says.
Journey Two: Trusting Intuition & Building Something Beautiful
Victoria’s second match came quickly, but the first meeting wasn’t perfect. The intended mother seemed distant; the intended father, excited. Victoria struggled.
“I expected everything to be great again immediately. When it didn’t feel that way, I felt torn.”
In a thoughtful display of honesty — and support from her agency — she asked for a one-on-one conversation with the intended mother. That changed everything. Walls came down, stories were shared, and understanding followed.
Victoria accepted the match. And it turned out to be exactly right.
The family, also Houston-based, embraced Victoria and her daughters fully — including inviting them to their gender reveal party, where they met the intended parents’ closest friends and relatives.
“We were showered with kindness. I still get pictures and texts all the time.”
The Heart of Surrogacy
Victoria describes both journeys as deeply rewarding:
“Being a surrogate makes you feel happy, proud, emotional, thankful. I couldn’t have asked for better intended parents.”
She also emphasizes the demands:
“Being a surrogate isn’t for the faint of heart,” she says. “It challenges your body, your time, and your mental space — so it’s important to know what you’re committing to.”
Victoria credits the support she received during postpartum recovery as the cherry on top, with guidance and check-ins from her Match Manager making a meaningful difference.
Her advice for future surrogates:
Listen to your body.
Speak up when something feels off.
Prepare for questions and reactions.
Give yourself the time to consider the commitment.
“These families come into this after exhausting every option. They just need a win.”
And thanks to Victoria, two families received the greatest gift they could ever imagine.
“I still get teary-eyed thinking about it. My daughters are my world, and I love that I was able to carry those two baby boys for their parents. It was a pleasure both times.”
A Legacy of Love
From Houston to New York and back, from two matches to two deliveries, Victoria’s surrogacy story is one of courage, compassion, and connection — a mother helping others step into their dreams of parenthood, twice.
