Caste is determined by birth in respect to where and whose family you are born in. You can't deny your caste whether you like it or not. In our Asian society, your character is judged on the basis of your caste. You are ranked and categorized whether you are fit to certain criteria or not according to your caste. That means that if you are born poor you are going to be poorer, same as in rich people because social status is judged by the caste system.
Like people judge of skin color, many judgeS in their caste. They seem to not like their presence in their life. People tend to start a quarrel just because someone called them by their caste. Rich people tend to show the power of money to bow down the poor people and show that it was the result of the caste. Caste has become a major issue that has suppressed many of their pride.
In Asia, so-called upper-class people are not to marry the so-called lower-class girl. even though if the boy was to approach a girl, the victim is showed as the offender. If they got married also they are to be the bad people of the society. Society will not give them the freedom to live like a normal. It does not seem to harm them physically but they are tortured day and night showing the caste difference and harming mentally. Being a girl, If you marry a boy belonging to a different caste, you are never treated the same by your family and society. You neither belong to your caste nor your partners. You are outcasted and never invited to the ritual. You are kept aside as an unnecessary item and never loved and care for. Your future baby will have to live with the curse of society and never accepted it. As a girl, they are feared of these things and the marring decision is normally with the family.
Caste is not just a problem in social life but also in the educational field too. The higher caste children are facing a lot of difficulties in finding jobs. Earlier it was not this difficult to find a job. The Scheduled Caste (SCs), Schedule Tribes (STs), and the other backward classes (OBCs) needless grades than a general candidate. This is because they get a reservation and the qualifying marks or grades for them are less as compared to the required marks of a general candidate.
This happens because of the caste system. People say that the Lower caste people deserve and need the reservation. They need it because people treat them unequally because of the discrimination occurring through the caste system. The generals see them as lower category people, not all but many. Many people are still there who don’t believe in the caste system.
Caste also leads to social inequality that is an inequity of social class, awards, opportunities, religion, position in the community, social status, and at some other point respect in a group of society. It is considered here the unbalanced power, occupation, race, teaching in schools, etc. Social classes cause inequality in society and poverty. Social classes are set or groups of people in the society in which category they belong such as upper class, middle class, and lower class. What made social inequality exist? One reason is the poverty that comprises the lower class. Furthermore, this is common in the society of our country. There are two reasons that explain poverty. These are “blame the poor” and “blame society”.
People never see the good deeds but always remember the caste with the typical narrow thinking. Asking others caste before having a conversation is not a new thing in eastern society. If not fit the criteria of caste you are never asked for anything. People pretend to have different caste so they also have different blood and mixing different blood is a big no no. They seem to rather die than relate to a different caste.
Caste is a tag to a person that is always to be remembered.
