Hi, I’m Jondi Whitis and I am Divorce by Rose’s EFT Master Trainer. I’d like to welcome you to the introduction of my Divorce by Rose course, Take 5 Doable Guide to Help your kids through separation and divorce. This is a bite-size video series for busy, stressed-out parents. I hope that it will have helpful and practical assurances for parents, starting with “You’re not alone”. Help is available to support and straight-up talk about the kids. We want to help you and keep the kids healthy and balanced during uncertain and upsetting times, prioritizing what matters.

Getting in touch with your goals and your kids moves us from what we used to be. I know how it feels “way back then” to this now “new” to us. This course is an introduction for everyone to see it’s about the idea called Take Five: a Doable program because busy, stressed parents have two universal things in common: a lack of time and a lot of pressure. There are so many things to consider to try and maintain, that it’s overwhelming for almost everyone. Generally, we’re not our best selves when we’re trying to separate a partnership or a family or a household in the midst of just living our lives. We all cram into many things every day on top of it, and that’s called overwhelm; it moves in quickly, doesn’t it? That’s why each extra five minutes that is requested of you at any time by anyone better be worth it, right?

As co-author of the Field Guide and handbook called Compassion and Action- Emotional First Aid For Children, I think my focus is well-stated, putting kids first and understanding how to support them to become happy and healthy. I think I can help you access how to quickly de-stress and rapidly down-regulate with strategies that will make a huge difference in your everyday stress levels and some clarity for whatever is going on for you or your kids. Balanced problem solvers can be better for whatever the world throws at them.

So what will this do for you? Let’s review: with the Take 5 Doable Guide, you’re going to get a bite-sized piece of practical wisdom you need most during this time. How to help your kids continue to feel safe and loved, have better communication and be heard more clearly by them and everyone around you, build respectful relationships of value and truth and promote self-esteem, self-respect, and growth for everyone. Through this process, we help create and celebrate kids becoming better problem solvers themselves. You may not think you have time to squeeze in one more thing but let me ask you this five years from now, what do you want them to remember about this time and you? It all starts with “you”, then we move to “them” and then to the new “us”.
