"The Meet-Cute" Valentine's Day Story Part 1
Lily was a free-spirited artist who lived life on her own terms. Her passion for art had led her to pursue a career as a freelance illustrator and she was happy with the way things were going. She had a wild imagination and loved to get lost in her own thoughts as she drew in her sketchbook. One day, as she sat at a coffee shop sipping on her latte and sketching, she noticed a man sitting across the room. He was reading the newspaper and seemed completely engrossed in it. Lily couldn't help but steal a few glances at him as she worked on her drawing. He was tall and handsome, with short, well-groomed hair and a chiseled jawline. As their eyes met for the first time, both of them smiled. Lily felt a spark of attraction and quickly looked back down at her sketchbook, feeling shy. But she couldn't shake the image of the man from her mind and found herself looking up at him again. This time, he held her gaze for a moment before looking away, but not before giving her another smile. Their brief interactions didn't go unnoticed and when the barista called out "Lily," the man across the room thought it was his order. He walked over to the counter and picked up his coffee, but quickly realized his mistake when he saw Lily's latte still sitting there.
