The Dragons beside me are my sisters.

One old and one young

With four years ahead and eight years behind, I get to learn from experience and be an example to another.

This unique positioning has afforded me an unparalleled perspective on life.

My elder sister, Charlotte, is like a majestic dragon with scales that shimmered like the midnight sky. She is my beacon of strength and wisdom. Her years had been filled with adventures, battles, and lessons learned. She is the first child and the first daughter. She got to experience my parents unformed and yet remains a guardian of their old ways. a keeper of stories, and my mentor from whom I have learnt the art of resilience and the importance of tradition. Her dragon flights elegant, her gaze penetrating, and her presence commanding respect and admiration.

My younger sister, Ezomime in contrast, is a dragon bursting with energy and curiosity with scales glowing with the vibrant hues of dawn, reflecting her youthful spirit and enthusiasm. She is a testament to the potential our parents wished for all their kids. She loves to travel to new countries, always eager to explore, to ask questions, and to dive headfirst into new adventures. Her innocence is not naivety but a pure, unbridled zest for life that reminds all who encounter her of the joy found in discovery and the beauty of the world ahead..

Nestled between these two formidable beings is me. If I was a dragon, I like to believe my unique blend of colors would be a twilight fusion that captured the essence of both dusk and dawn. My position as the middle sister in my familial hierarchy is one I consider a privilege amongst my sisters. I like to call myself a bridge between two generations. A mediator of perspectives, and perhaps an embodiment of balanced growth?

Ha I doubt it!

I am in a constant state of learning and teaching, absorbing with keen observation my elder sister while trying to impart knowledge and guidance to my younger sister.

My elder sister's experiences served as invaluable lessons, her stories are a treasure trove of wisdom from which I continue to draw from. She teaches me the importance of strength, not just the physical strength that might be necessary to soar through the skies, but the inner strength I require to face life's challenges with grace and courage. From her, I have learned the significance of my heritage and the value of preserving my integrity to face my life struggles.

My younger sister, with her boundless energy, brings light and laughter into my life. Her fearless exploration serves as reminders for me that my life can be an adventure that I can embrace with an open heart and mind. She teaches me the importance of adaptability, the beauty of spontaneity, and the power of viewing the world through eyes unclouded by cynicism or weariness.

This international women’s day, my sisters are my testament to the power of balance. With them, I have become a custodian of equilibrium, ensuring that the legacy of my elder sister is honored while the aspirations of my younger sister are nurtured. Together, as sisters we form an unbreakable bond, a trinity of power, wisdom, and love. We are guardians of our history, defenders of our children, and champions of growth and change. Our story is not just one of individual achievements but a collective saga of sisterhood, a narrative that highlights the importance of family, the beauty of diverse perspectives, and the strength found in unity. The dynamic of our sister love brings a harmonious blend of respect, love, and mutual support

Although dragons are mere mythical creatures; To me they represent a part of human creativity showcasing the role magic can play in the tapestry of life. My sisters are my source of magic and mystery, the wind beneath my wings and my forever companions helping me navigate the mosaic of my life.
