Reno Nevada Known as “The Biggest Little City in the World.” A city that offers a little bit of everything to everyone, life here is as rural as you want it or as bohemian as you may need it to be.

I have lived in Reno for three years and let me tell you I have so much more to discover, but I love everything I have found so far.

Are you a snow-loving person who enjoys the beauty of the white mountains, the cold weather, taking long walks looking forward to a nice hot cocoa by the fire at the end, this is the place to be in winter time.

I love to take long walks, so I really enjoy springtime when you can go for a trail walk and be serenaded by birds, find squirrels and bunnies, have the morning sun warm you up, and end your walk at a nearby cafe, sit and enjoy a nice refresher.

Reno is the perfect place for a vacation, as well as a place to call home, it is so diverse in all aspects that you may as well be in a really big city, yet away for it all.

My selling point was the Truckee River which runs right in the middle of the city, offering so many activities in the summer such as canoeing, swimming, fishing, beautiful trails, and bird watching, as there are several different species to admire.

Downtown Reno offers many cafes at the river edge for you to enjoy in the morning or the afternoon.

Nightlife with hotels, nightclubs, casinos movie theaters, and restaurants offering a really good night on the town.

But above all, Reno is home to UNR (University of Nevada Reno) and from where many well-known names in Sports, Science, and Law have graduated from.

The calendar of events that take place during the year is quite extensive, from water-related activities to balloon races, Reno Rodeo, and the air races as well as Hot August nights a long-time activity for all classic car lovers. This event takes place across northern Nevada starting in Virginia City and ending in Reno with parades that take place every night for a week in August.

A day at Rancho San Rafael Park is a great getaway in town, trails, an arboretum, a museum, and so many different things to see and enjoy, bring the kids, and the dogs, or just come for a romantic picnic, come daily for walks, for yoga this very big park has it all.

A short drive to Virginia City can give you a weekend back in time, to the old West to enjoy a good old BBQ dinner and a homemade fudge shop. So much to see and do.

Only forty-five minutes away is Lake Tahoe another reason to be here, endless activities to pass the time. Mount Rose is for those who enjoy skiing or hiking.

Reno is a place where you feel rejuvenated where blue skies are endless, and big city action is just a drive away. Where home is always close by, and vacations are just a drive away, find yourself getting lost in a city over 150 years old with a rich history, nature, and wildlife,

Here we can enjoy all the seasons, the blooming flowers of spring where you can see the cherry trees full of flowers. The warmth of summer as the waters of the river cross thru town that allows for a day of swimming, and a picnic at the park. In the fall you get to enjoy the changing of the leaves and cool breeze, and in winter you can enjoy a winter wonderland. All the beauty of nature is here all year long. My home is here and I love where I live.

I am a nature loving person who finds the indoors quite suffocating after a while, I find inspiration in the beauty of a mountain, the flight of a bird or the soft swaying of a flower in the wind.
