Wise protector of the Village

Ramondae is an inspiration for all the mothers who stand in spite of their situations to make a way out of no way. For the strong mothers in my life that press on even when the odds are stacked against them.

Mothers who love unconditionally. Mothers who care for more than just their own, but make a way for those who cross their path in need of a little help to make it through. Mothers who believed in "it takes a village to raise the children." I grew up in an era where these mothers looked out for the children of the community. They were the eyes for each other. This is what is missing in our communities today; strong model "MOTHERS". Mothers who were not interested in being your friend but your parent. Mothers who corrected without calling names or using profanity. Where, are these Mothers today do any still exist, or are they becoming extinct? Mothers, you are a valuable part of our communities, and our children need you. What they learn early in life comes from you, and what they value is a reflection of your guidance. Please stand firm! Please don't give up your role as a mother. Your job is crucial and in high demand. No one else can fill your void. We know the job is not easy and comes with some sleepless nights, but the reward of your instruction is what molds communities and the future of our young people. Thank you to all the mothers in my life that have stayed on the wall and refused to give in to the world's norms and remained a fearless Mother.

Ramondae, You are a law unto itself. Your tendency is to finish whatever you start. You are tolerant and like to help humanity. You are very active. You are a wise protector, the Mother of all mothers, a nurturer. A mother is a selfless, loving human who must sacrifice many of their wants and needs for the wants and needs of their children. A mother works hard to make sure their children are equipped with the knowledge, skills and abilities to make it as a competent human being. If you think back, can you call the names of some mothers that were strong mothers of your community? Mothers that you can tell a story about that reflects their strength that made you a better person or made your community a better place to live because they were a mother in your community. I can, and there were many. Each family has a mother, but she may be an aunt, a sister, or a grandmother that gave motherhood a different meaning and she went beyond her role to make things better for other people. Well, Ramondae represents her and her sacrifices she made for all the little people in her circle. I celebrate you all and I am grateful for your existence and the love you have given over the years that some how made life a little easier for me or someone because they crossed your path. Thank you for making a difference.

The reality is that not all children are given a mother that sounds like Ramondae and that's life. Not all mother's are willing to make the sacrifice. Not all mom's do right by their children. That's the part that hurts because there is a child out their that's hurting, lost, neglected, and in need of a Ramondae. So I ask that the mother's out in the world who have some extra love, a bigger heart, and some extra time to be a Ramondae to a child in need. Foster care is an option but not always the perfect option. You can give a helping hand, kind words, and genuine love looking for nothing in return may be just whats needed to turn a child's life around. You don't have to be a mother to make a difference; just be a mother at heart. It is true that it takes a village to raise the children, and its time to re-build the village.

Special times with our mothers. Memories that we cherish our entire life. Honoring your Mother while she lives is a treasure of giving her what she has given us while we were growing up to one day have our own children. Hoping they appreciate us enough to do the same. Can you think back to a time that you shared a special moment or event with your mother? Is there something that you would like to do or share with your mother? What is keeping you from doing it? Give her her flowers while she can yet still enjoy them.

Some moms create blended families. United in Love and because of that we make our families stronger. When you become a grandmother it gives a new meaning to life and you are given gifts that changes motherhood. Our little darlings keep us on our toes. Grandchildren teach their parents what its like to be a parent and the importance of setting an example and setting boundaries that when they were growing up they didn't quite understand. For me I remember Lots of love, providers, story tellers, great cooks, lots of smiling and a childhood worthy of repeating. It wasnt perfect but it was fun today our children miss out on being children they have to grow up too fast.

As a mother we tend to extend family members beyond just two legs but occasionally there are 4 legged family members that some how become children and grandchildren. Well in my family there is Ghotti who my grandson and daughter adopted. Ghotti doesn't know he's a dog sometimes and they don't treat him like one. A mother's bond is unique and this is what makes her special.

Mothers of blended families should be united together for the greater good as mothers to provide double guidance for a more unified family. Until you walk in our shoes you wouldn't understand why unity and harmony is so important. Its not perfect but its honorable. Because of the bond we are stronger within our family when we bring two families together under the same roof.

Ramondae gives a new meaning to It takes a village to raise the children. She is joined by so many others in my life time. They did not find it robbery to take care of someone else's child or children. With the Marys, Ramondaes, Sylvias, Lolas, Patricias, Evelyns, Eloises, Elizabeths, Mables, and many others in the world, you would not go hungry, naked, or homeless because they made a way out of no way and multiplied whatever they had to feed 10,000. Some mothers have one child, some three, others 9, but regardless of the number of children there are so many more that call you mom that you didn't give birth to but because of your unending love mom is spoken often by those whom you have touched in some way. That's a blessing for so many.

In memory of all the mothers and grandmothers who have gone on, and those once who continue to stand tall we say thank you for all you have done to make a difference in the world for your children. Thank you for the sacrifices, games, songs sung, stories read, laughter, wiping the tears, and fixing our wounds. Thank you for inspiring "HOPE". May you rest in peace and continue to stand up for us and know you are truly missed and loved beyond measure.
