Hey there! So you're thinking about getting a portable washer, eh? Well, you're in luck! As an owner of a portable washer for over a year now, I can help you guide you in the right direction based on what I know and what I researched before my final purchase!

Now, I know what you’re thinking. Is this really cost effective? Is this worth the hassle of researching and finding something that fits every need?

Let me just say, it's worth it.

If you’ve had the misfortune of living in an apartment with no laundry hook ups, dragging large baskets of clothes to and from a laundromat is your back, arms, and legs worse enemy.

Save all that nice loose change to buy yourself a soda or put it in one of those coin machines that give you cash vouchers!

However, a portable washer is your best friend! (Not to mention if you don’t have to pay the water bill too!!)

Of course, there are some drawbacks to using a portable washer. They have a smaller capacity than full-size washing machines, and they may not be as powerful. But overall, portable washers can be a great option for people who live in small spaces or who want to save money on laundry.

Here are some things to consider when choosing a portable washer:

Convenience: Portable washers are small and lightweight, so they're easy to move around. This is great if you live in a small apartment or dorm room, or if you travel frequently.

Cost-Effectiveness: Portable washers can save you money on your utility bills and detergent costs. They use less water and energy than traditional washing machines, so you'll be helping the environment too.

Eco-Friendliness: Portable washers consume less water and energy than their larger counterparts. Individuals can contribute to a greener and more eco-friendly lifestyle by reducing resource consumption.

But wait, there's more!

Portable washers often come with many washing features, so you can customize the wash cycles according to your specific needs. From delicate items to heavily soiled clothes, these machines offer various options, ensuring that each load is washed thoroughly and gently.

So, there you have it! The pros and cons of purchasing a portable washer. Ultimately, the decision of whether or not to buy one is up to you. But if you're looking for a convenient, cost-effective, and eco-friendly way to do laundry, a portable washer is a great option.

Now I will point this out, the pros certainly outweigh the cons but keep in mind that unlike a traditional washer there's a bit more manual work. From my experience, make sure that heavily soiled fabrics are washed twice, the first with a base cleaner and the second with the detergent of your choice, just to make sure everything is cleaned properly. As well as putting small loads in at a time.

The easiest way, for me at least, was washing a decent load with the base cleaner than washing the rest in smaller loads with detergent. That way you aren't wasting more time by doing it load by load.
