No one really tells you

Marriage kids

When you're young, you look at what you think you will be like or who you want to be like or not be like.

Then, as you get older you question.   Am I making the right decisions?  The right choices?

Then real life hit.  POW

Marriage, work, kids, bills, mortgage, arguments, fights, memories, hoildays, moves, jobs, schools, money, feelings, families, life, health, friends. heartbreaks, parenting, life.

No one every tells you the real story.  No one tells you how it really is going to be.  How when you get married that one day you won't always feel thrilled about your partner.  Or how you won't always like each other.  How you will doubt what your doing or maybe why your even married.  That your marriage if a real struggle.   How after years of marriage you both change.

That your children will hold your heart more than anyone or anything you could ever imagine.  Then tear it out and rip it apart like it is nothing. They will fight with you. And disobey you.

That even then you will do anything and everything for them.   Then one day, they will walk away and start a life and a family of their own.

That is what you actually want for them.   To grow up and become amazing smart independent strong people.  To go out and stand on their own without you their to take care of them.

No one tells you all the struggles of Bill collectors,  mortgages, car notes, tap shoes, wrestling gear or karate lessons.  Birthday parties and what all the new game systems are going to cost and how you will have to worry about where your kids are and will they be safe driving home.

No one tells you that your husband will cry over what he has seen on his missions, but only to you.  Covers you up on the couch when you fall asleep.  Takes care of you after your cancer surgery.  When he brushes your hair when you been sick all day.  When you been together so long your grandbabies are on the way. Even thought he's can still be a pain, he's your pain.

When your babies smile for the first time or grabs your finger.  When you 3 yr old tell you their going to run away and you pack your bag and say "well, guess I'm coming too" and he hugs you and says " You're the best Mommy ever!" When your sleeping and you get kisses from your toddlers.  When your older kids call to tell you they love you.

When you realize hard work pays the bills.  When you pay off debt.   Retiring and learning to be thrifty.  Relaxing and enjoying your partner again.  Spending time with your friends. Praying and being blessed.

Knowing life is what you make it.

Because tomorrow is another day.  I am blessed with my crazy mess stress.  That is life.
