Grandpa, please a story, grandpa!!.... No, No not now you must first finish up your meal nacy. Those words still give a refreshing vibe of my childhood, Whoa!! Those days…..

This is me Nacy, grandpa's most loved granddaughter in the family, I was also the smallest one and got loved by all.

We used to live in downtown L.A, but due to certain circumstances regarding my schooling, we need to get over to the town for all those facilities, and here struck a hard time, due to the business obstruction and all the hindrances, my mom and dad had to be away from us…hmm!! That moment was really very hard for me as a child just couldn't do anything more than a weeping out.

After all, grandpa and grandma began to look after me, there were no such days that makes me feel like I am alone, that still makes me happy and emotional.

There is an inspiring quote that " What you plant now will harvest later", in terms of discipline as a child my grandpa never left a single day sharing with me valuable life lessons as a bedtime story, which I love to hear from my grandpa the most.

After mealtime, there is the storytime, but after the meal……nahhhh!!

Among many stories I have ever heard from my grandpa, The story which I have heard in my 4th standard was so deep that still carry a great life lesson, I still today apply this meaningful story message to my fieldwork and do share it among my children's and friends to inspire, motivate and guide them.

Here the beautiful story about "Life" carrying the sensational message to all the young children and as well to adults.

(grandpa's story)………." Once upon a time, there was a young athletic boy hungry for success for whom winning was everything and success was measured just by winning one day, the boy was preparing himself for a running competition in his small village, he and two other young boys to compete. A large crowd had gathered to witness the sporting spectacle and a wise old man, upon hearing of the little boy, had traveled for to bear witness also. The race commenced, looking like a left heat at the finishing line, but sure enough, the boy dug deep and called on his determination, strength, and power…he took the winning line and was first. The crowd was ecstatic and cheered and waved at the boy. The wise man remained still and clams, expressing no sentiment. The little boy, however, felt proud and important. A second race was called, and two new young, fit, challengers came forward, to run with the little boy. The race was started and sure enough, the little boy came through and finished first once again. The crowd was ecstatic again and cheered and waved at the boy. The wise man remained still and clams, again expressing no sentiment. The little boy, however, felt proud and important. "Another race, another race" pleaded the little boy. The wise old man stepped forward and presented the little boy with two new challengers, an elder frail lady, and a blind man. "What is this?" quizzed the little boy. "This is no race" he exclaimed. "Race"! Said the Wiseman. The race was started and the boy was the only finisher, the other two challengers left standing at the starting line. The little boy was ecstatic; he raised his arms in delight. The crowd, however, were silent, showing no sentiment toward the little boy. "What has happened? Why not do the people join in my success? "He asked the wise old man. "Race again", replied the wise man,

"…this time, finish together, all three of you, finish together" continued the wise man. The little boy thought a little, stood in the middle of the blind man and the frail old lady, and then took the two challengers by the hand. The race began and the little boy walked slowly, ever so slowly, to the finishing line and crossed it. The crowd was ecstatic and cheered and waved at the boy. The wise man smiled, gently nodding his head. The little boy felt proud and important. "Old man, I understand not! Who is the crowd cheering for? Which one of us three?" asked the little boy? The wise old man looked into the little boy's eyes, placing his hands on the boy's shoulders, and replied softly. "Little boy, for this race you have won much more than in any race you have ever run before, and for this race the crowd cheer not for any winner!"

Isn't this story called a great story for achieving the real definition of life…??. Well, indeed it does....

I really recalled all my beautiful childhood memories with my grandpa…… (Umm Kina feel emotional now…), thank you grandpa for your wonderful story, I love you, grandpa, I love you more than ever!!

We see in life…In our life what are we running for? Are you hungry for success? Is winning the only measurement for us in life? Who are we running against? And if we always win against everybody, then soon the people will stop cheering for us at the end of our life, if we look back the question is: who was running next to us, in this race? If they were weaker and old did we help them to get across the line? Did we all finish together? Because that is the best race we can ever run.

So run! Run this race called life! But don't forget: it is not important if you win it is important how you run this race…
