Mamma's Rant
Adjust the crown, Control the crazy, Pray like hell - No one tries me!
This mamma is overwhelmed,
Drowning on solid ground.
Exhausted during daylight,
Racing thoughts throughout the night.
Too many balls to juggle,
Fearing failure behind the struggle.
Busted sump pump, washer's broken,
Leaky ceiling, the truck is smoking.
Inspections are up - registrations are needed,
Can't catch a break - Jesus Christ, I pleaded.
Custody court, attorney fees,
Savings dwindling, lost my keys.
Walk the dog, three meals a day,
Mommy has to work, no time to play.
Socks need folding, shower scoured,
Needing groceries and electronics powered.
Woke up late, missed the bus,
At this point - I can only smile, laugh, and cuss.
Let's live off the land, run away,
Who needs electricity anyway?
On the water, lost at sea,
Let's live in a camper, be wild and free!
No stress, no guilt, no-obligation,
No shaming, no pressure, zero competition.
Yawn and a sigh, tantrum complete for today,
Rise again tomorrow, bitch be ready to slay.
Adjust that crown, control the crazy,
And pray like hell - no one tries me!
