The Moment It All Changed...
I have been reading and talked to some people on how to start a blog. Almost everything I have read or anyone has said to me is “write what you know” or “write about what you love”. Well I am a 33 year old mom and wife. I work full time at a car dealership. I love my kids and I love my husband and they all drive me insane almost daily. I have crazy anxiety over the smallest things. I sometimes wonder how I got here. How I got to this specific point in my life where I grew up some how and started adulting.

THE NURSING HOME Part One: First, a thoughtful challenge; I am willing to bet many folks under the age of 45 have never given much thought to the passage of time. Under 45'ers generally don't think about aging. They think about other things like raising their kids, social media, who's friends with whom, who's been unfriended, how does my selfie look, can I afford a new cell phone, why can't I find a job or a partner and last but certainly not least, am I good-looking enough to attract the right guy. To those who identify with these challenges, I say great. Enjoy! Knock yourself out! Because very soon, the concept of time is going to kick in and and you will feel like you've actually been kicked...in the head.

Decisions, decisions, decisions...we all have to make them. See the thing about decisions is that sometimes they are made through clouded judgement. Feelings such as happiness, sadness, anger, etc...sometimes affect our decisions. Well let's be honest, feelings affect our decisions more than we'd like to admit. The Day I Lost You
I'll never forget the day I found out I was going to be a mom. It was the most exciting thing ever. I was only fifteen years old and I had been with my boyfriend for about a year. We were so young and didn't care what anyone thought or said because we knew that we were going to be together forever and we knew that we wanted to start a family. We had been trying for maybe three months. We had went to Los Angeles to go visit my boyfriend's family and I started feeling a little weird, getting the usual symptoms that you get in early pregnancies. We stopped by CVS and bought a pregnancy test. I've taken a lot before, but there's something about this one that I was just so sure about.

The Gift of Life
I never thought that one small child could transform my entire world in such a short amount of time. At the end of sophomore year, my family welcomed my new cousin Morgan into the world. My whole life, I had been surrounded by guys in my family, and I was so excited to have another girl in my life. From the moment my aunt first found out that she was having a girl, I was constantly spending time with them to brainstorm name ideas. I have always been close with my aunt and uncle, more so than my other family members. I love spending time with them and their son Matthew, who is almost exactly ten years younger than me. I have always been able to turn to them for advice, or for any kind of help when I needed it. I was beyond excited for them to become new parents again, and I was also excited to welcome my new cousin into the family.
