From Uncertainty to Victory!
The Beginning: Lets begin in 3, 2, 1… in the spring of 1993 is where it all had begun. I imagine that it was a rainy day with just a hint of sun. I was catapulted through the womb of my mother, then before I knew it I was caught between a lash and a gun. According to statistics and probabilities, not speaking physically, but emotionally I was scarred from the start, wounded, marked and it pierced through the heart. My grand entrance into this three dimensional plane of existence was doomed from the start. Like so many, I was unplanned, but there was still a plan, even though I did not enter this world under the best circumstances.

My Mini Bio
Have you ever wondered how your time in this world is measured? Is it by the amount of friends you have, how long you have stayed in one job, what your career is, if your married, single, have kids, don't have kids, live by yourself or with someone or if you still live with your parents, is it measured by how close you are with your family or is it measured by what you bring to the table.

My Grandmother’s Recipe to Unite a Family
As the leaves started to fall from the trees and we were getting ready for winter, the whole family sat around the wood fire oven, speaking way too loudly while sharing some food. My uncles talking about sport and politics and my aunties telling stories and laughing as the kids ran around the house waiting for the food to be served. Those were the most ordinary and extraordinary moments I've shared with my grandmother. I've spent a lot of time at her house in a country town in the South part of Brazil close to the Mountains.

The Queenie Effect
She’s a straight talking, tough love giving, sassy black woman that isn’t afraid to get down and party with the youngsters because if you haven’t already heard, sixty is the new twenty-five. She’s a ball of energy that doesn’t have an off switch, a trait I can admit to have inherited and she doesn’t take shit from anyone.

You’re Kid is Practicing Unsafe Sex
Whether or not Sex Education (Sex Ed) should be taught in public schools has been a long-standing debate since 1996 in which parents have always had the final say. Parents deem the topic as inappropriate for their children, while schools know they need to teach students about this topic. Although there has been a steady decrease, in teen pregnancies some teens and millennials blame a rise in sexually transmitted diseases teens and young adults on the lack of adequate Sex Education. Before school administrators can decide whether or not to teach Sex Ed in the classroom, parents need to stop babying their kids; the realities students face need to be taken into account, as well as boundaries, need to be set for the extent of the lessons.

Aye Aye, Captain
In June 1988, Min took the notorious Chinese GaoKao, also known as the National College Entrance Examination. MyInspiration
Our Mother are our teachers and educators and they are the most powerful influential people we know. My mother spoke to me when I was very young that she believed in hard work and her mother spoke to her about being a artist of many talents. As time went on I witnessed this is what I would call a blessing and this is what moved me to write about her.

Dementia
"Thank you uh... who are you again?" Those soul crushing words were knives in my heart. A perfect substitute for physical pain. The cold air filled my lungs as I walk the empty street corner, scarce of civilization, but teeming in advertisements, attempting to regain the life that once bristled the streets. The life that had bustled and that could not sit still. The go-getter's. My grandmother.
