Being a Trully Working Mom When You Want to Stay at Home

Some researcs link children in child care with behavioral problems. This is good news for stay at home mother knee-deep in diapers and temper tantrums. Some research suggest that you being home with your children during those early stages is better for your kids than them being in childcare full-time

It's no secret that being a stay at home mother is a job in and of itself — any mom will inform you that. And research from a current Pew study suggests that the number of female who are turning into stay-at-home mothers is truly on the rise. While 71 percent of moms work outside the home, 29 percent are staying home, which is up from six percent from 1999. There has also been an increase in the number of stay at home mother who work from home. With so many mothers at home, why is it that there are still so many stereotypes that stay-at-home mothers have to just sit around eating snack all day?

Ask people what they assume about a stay at home mother (SAHM) and you will get a variety of answers. They're lazy. They're making the great decision of their lives. Furthermore, they're not contributing to society. They're making an excellent sacrifice to stay home and nurture their child day in and day out.

That feeling like you don’t choose to get out of the mattress in the morning, because what’s the point? More diapers to change, butts to wipe, snacks to cut up, and cleaning to do even though no one will ever be able to inform because it’s a miracle to just get it back to what it seemed like when your partner left the house that morning. Why even trouble attempting to do anything when you’ll just be interrupted anyway? Most days, frankly, it feels simpler to just not even try. There’s less disappointment that way.

Sometimes the grass appears greener and the solar seems to shine brighter on the different side, but we wouldn’t change our way of life for the world.

We’re only searching for a healthy balance to getting our duties done, to experience the time with our children, and discover a way to feed our Stay at Home Mom souls, so we don’t lose sight of the pleasure and happiness in motherhood.

Loosing yourself in motherhood is effortless to do when you’re working tirelessly to meet the needs of others. However, you can't fully take care of your kids till you take care of yourself.

Something that some dad and mom forget when they decide to turn out to be a stay at home parent is how much time you are going to be spending at home. Though you will still go out to run errands and set up playmates, you are going to be spending a lot of time in your house and once in a while staying in your house too long can make anyone go a little stir crazy. So if you are the kind of individual who needs to have a lot of social interactions, then being a stay at home parent might not be for you.

Whether you are a woman who work or stay home, stop feeling like you're failing as a parent. Societal pressures make woman feel like they can't win whether they're carrying a diaper bag or a briefcase all day.

When it comes down to it, study is just study. Ultimately, what's best for you and your family is what matters most. It's true not everyone has the luxury of choosing between staying home or working but study can't tell you exactly what's going on in your family. Make a decision that's right for you and don't worry about what strangers, your neighbor, or your mother-in-law thinks.
