I Care, For Sure

Unconditionally

Everyone is Hurting, Everywhere

I am passionate about helping others. It does not matter their situation or need, I simply want to help. I like assisting those who are gang-affiliated, homeless, runaways, drug/alcohol addicted, the mentally, socially, emotionally ill or impaired, children, teens, babies, veterans, elderly, single parents male and female, the abused, human trafficked survivors, family, friends, animals, and strangers. Pretty much anyone that really and truly needs it.

This does not always go as easily as I make it sound. first, not everyone wants your help. They assume you are saying they "need" something from you, and people do not want to feel needy or "owe" anyone.

I totally understand that. I do. Doesn't change the fact that I "am" going to help you however, I respect how you feel. I feel the same way about accepting assistance from others. It is very sad, that the world we live in has made it so that none of us trust one another.

We smile, look right in your eyes, then....

we have all been hurt by someone, some incident in our lives, or by something. The fact is, when we hurt, we want to be comforted. When we aren't comforted, some of us respond in both negative and positive manners.

The people I help come from all walks of life, all ethnicities, and from all over the map. Kindness, compassion, and love should be something we hear and show, each and every day we are alive to each other.

I take time to talk with people, "listen" to them, and see what it is that got them in their current situation. I ask them what it is they wish to accomplish in life, find out what are they most passionate about (whether they can do it or not), and what holds their ultimate interest in life the majority of the time. This is what it will possibly take to get them out of the situation in which they find themselves. That and a little information and assistance. That's all. Everyone needs help sooner or later, in some manner or another.

No one should EVER be so hungry, they have to do this.

I actually listened and I began to help each one individually.

Drug/alcohol rehab centers we called, until they got in. We called families, and they finally spoke with one another to begin to resolve some issues. some of the families have wondered where they were, and immediately sent for them. You see, most of these people believe (or have talked themselves into believing), that no one cares. So they stopped caring about themselves. This made them seemingly invisible to society. The society they were once a part of.

They weren't invisible. We saw them. Some of us pretended we didn't see them, or when we did see them, we would glance away abruptly in order to avoid eye contact. We just couldn't look at that lost, sad look in their faces. That silent humiliation and defeat in the lowered head, hunched shoulders, tired, pleading eyes.

Then, there were those of us, that believed some of these "people" just didn't fit our idea of society as we see it anyway. Those were the baggy pants, gun weilding, color wearing gang members we see. The ones at candlelight vigils, and funerals. The ones we say we are afraid of. The ones we just dont understand why they are the way they are. Yet, some of us judge them without even so much as speaking to them.

Yes, the elderly have been ignored for years. Some feel they are useless because they cannot see as well or move as fast any more. Or because they are no longer youthful looking.

That is extremely sad as we learned all that we did from the people who came before us. The least we can do is to check up on them. Call, stop by. This prolongs their life when they believe someone simply cares.

The victims of human trafficking needed so very much, hell, they all did! They were all beginning again so they needed everything! Transitional housing which took many, many calls as some of these places are already over crowded. Some needed brands removed, that were tattooed on their bodies. Others needed to find their children that were taken from them right after birth, so that they could continue working.

What I would like to do, What my "PASSION" is, is helping others to help themselves. People, if given the opportunity, resources and some assistance, have been known to elevate themselves and others around them.

I want to create a building where people can come to and feel safe to begin again. Their own transitional housing. In this building each person has their own apartment. They live here for a year and transition into their own afterwards. Counseling, alcohol and drug rehabilitation will be provided, family reunification, life-skills training, parenting classes, community resources, doctors and other health practioners, such as dieticians, fitness instructors, yoga and more!

It is imperative that they are in a relaxed, safe environment in order to obtain the necessary tools they may need to live. We will help provide all of these things and more however, The first step is education. So there will definitely be education on self-defense training, how to notice if someone is being trafficked, employment trauning and assistance with clothes and help obtaining a job. Opportunities to further their education, and pursie their dreams. I want to provide a building, a home where people can come and obytain the help they need without being judged, used, broken, etc. I want to empower them to help themselves and become whatever it is they desire. Because they can.

Although some of their stories, actually, many of their stories are similiar, they are all different, and deserve to be treated as such.

Look, we all know that the list of people who need help is endless, which is sad beyond words. All in all, if each one of us took the time, "just a little", to help someone else, I believe there would be less hurting people in this world. no one helped me. i plan on helping as many people as I am able before I die.

Thank you for listening.
