that groceries prices have sky rocketed recently, inflation anyone and regardless of the prices of food we still got to eat. on this article you will find out 11 of my best tips on how you can save money on groceries

m not a budgeting expert but over the years I’ve found different ways on how you can save a bit of money on your weekly grocery bill.

1. meal planning :

This is going to save you a ton of money, you’re not gonna be wondering around the grocery store aimlessly just picking up food randomly. you’ll have a plan and you will know exactly what you need to buy.

meal planning is going to cut out the need for a take out or fast food and it’s just gonna help you overall so that you don’t have to think every night " what’s for dinner " . you gonna be buying all of your food and it going to save a ton of money and time as well.

2. make a grocery list :

you can make a list of exactly what you need. definitely shopping your pantry, freezer and fridge first, to use up ingredients you already have and when you make a grocery list be sure to stick to the list and only buy what on the list you have.

3. Buying in bulk :

Buying in bulk has been a huge money saver for us. some times though it can seems it a good deal but it not, so always be sure to price check and compare and make sure you’re knowing what the price per unit.

At first it might seems like you’re paying more because when you bring a bulk item to the register it’s a higher price than if you were just to buy one unit of the same item. but over all it’s gonna save you more money and also more trip to the store hich would save money on gas and impulse buying.

4. Try shopping alone :

I think it common among mums that when we bring our kids to the store they can end up putting things on the cart that were not on the list and we are not planned for to be purchasing. so it’s best to shop alone.

I know this isn’t always possible but if you can swing it , definitely try to go to the store alone and this would make it much more easy to stick to the list.

5. buy store brands :

The products are often the same but if you’re buying store brands you can save quite a bit of money .

6. shopping at discount stores :

there’s a lot of discount store out there depending on where you live but stores like Aldi and savealot.those stores are gonna save you money.

7. Buy your meet from a local farmer :

This is also more like buying in bulk because you’re gonna pay for a lot more meet at once but often time when you do the maths price per pound is a lot more cheaper than if you’re going to the store to buy your meet.

so try to find a local farmer and get on the list to be buying your beef, Chicken and pork all from a local resource farm.

8. buy produce from your local farmer market :

Alot of the times the food is lot more quality and it a lot less expensive as well. so shopping in your local farmers market is a great way to save money.

9. simplify your meal ;

Not every meal or dinner has to be this three course amazing meal with a nice cut of meat and two steamed meat hot size, you can simplify your meals and make a lot less expensive that way .

aside of rice it going to cost a lot less and it going to feed your family just the same . your family is going to be able to eat well and be full even if you are not serving this huge fancy meal. so often I will like to just pick a vegetable and a protein and that’s dinner.

10. utilize left over ;

lots of people don’t like eating left overs but this is a great way to have a lunch that’s already cooked and you are not gonna have any food waste because you’re eating up all of your left overs.

11. make freezer meal ;

This can be done in bulk cooking all in one day or what I like to do is when I’m already siting there cooking meal in the kitchen I’ll make two, one for tonight and one to put in the freezer for a different day.

having a stack of freezer meal is going to definitely save you a lot of money in a long run and when you’re already doing the cooking making an extra meal is not gonna require any more extra effort. you’ll have something there on those busy days where you don’t get a chance to cook and it gonna be a nice home cooked meal for
