Got Eggs? Plastic Eggs?
Don't throw out your plastic easter eggs - Upcycle Them!
Well It's here . April 12th is creeping upon on us. With the world in a bit of a tailspin from the COVID-19 outbreak I'm sure many people are saddened by cancelled plans and the inability to spend the upcoming holiday with family. For families with young kids this has put parents into a new position of having to try and keep up with the holiday and make it special for our kid's as we have the years previous. For myself and a friend of mine our youngests kid's birthdays fall on the 12th as well. So this year there is extra fun happening.
If you find you are one of the 100's of parents preparing for easter and rolling your eye's at the thought of being stuck with 60 or 100 or more plastic easter egg's with nothing to do but toss them, don't fret just yet.
I have ideas coming from myself and others to help you upcycle those plastic eggs into new items that are fun , practical and cute!
Home decor to learning aid, plastic eggs aren't a complete waste.
Fall Decor Acron's
Home decor can be expensive and cheap at the same time. What I mean by that is that while home decor doesn't have to be expensive I've found alot of cute things that are 15.99 or 39,99 or more are actually just extremely cheap items that eventually one either gather dust or get thrown out.
Why not make your decor I said to myself years ago and that's exactly what I've done since.
I can't tell you how excited I was for these acrons . SO Cute!
Prize Chest
If you use a reward system in your home. Save these to hide small toys and items in. You can even surprise your little's and add cash. I like to grab things from quarter machines and add them into the egg or buy party favors packs and split them up.
Use Them To Teach
Eggs typically break into halves which is great to use them as learning tools . Mom to 2 posh lil divas put together 10 ways to use them to teach and help your kids learn.
Make Jello Eggs
Mommy's Fabulous finds has a great tutorial on how to make them just right. I forgot to take pics of ours last year.
