God, Why Did You Give Me a Sister?
A short story dedicated to every elder sibling

Hi, I am Three, and I love my family. It’s a secret, but my mom is my favorite. She always pays attention to me, gives me anything I ask for, and I am her whole world. My dad is always at work, but he never forgets to bring me treats and plays with me even when he is tired.
I wanted this happiness to stay forever, but then my mom’s belly became big, and she became a mom again. She is not only mine anymore; I have to share her with this little demon baby, who people call my sister.
I am Five now. I’ve grown big, so I try not to hate her, but she has become the center of attention in my house. My mom gives her anything she asks for — even my stuff. I am not her whole world anymore. My dad is my favorite now. But what did I expect?
He didn’t last even for a day. He bought cake, but I had to share it with her. I never did that before. What’s even worse, she finished faster than me and took my portion too. Dad didn’t stop her; instead, he told me to give it to her and played with her until she slept.
This is unfair! I will not stand this anymore. I will stop giving her my stuff, I will eat everything by myself, and I will make my mom and dad play only with me.
That’s what I thought until today. She tried to call my name. I know she didn’t say it correctly, but I didn’t get mad. How could I get mad? She was cute. Was she always this cute? When I went closer to tell her my name, she held my hand. Her hands — they’re so tiny, and she’s so tiny.
Since I’ve grown big, Mom let me hold her. When I held her, she smiled at me. Before I knew it, I was spending my whole day with her. I gave her anything she asked for. I even gave her all my treats and played with her until she slept. And that’s how she became my world.
Is this how Mom and Dad felt when I was little? I love this feeling. I wish we could stay this happy forever. Thank you, God, for giving me this cute little demon.

I haven’t written a story in months. The heartbreak of pouring my thoughts into words, only to see them go unnoticed, made me question if it was worth my time. Every story I wrote carried a piece of me, and when it felt like no one cared, it hurt. I thought maybe I should stop, that my efforts were just a waste.
But as time passed, I realized something important—writing isn’t just about views or likes. It’s about creating, expressing, and sharing the world I see through my eyes. I missed it too much to stay away. So, I decided I need a space where I can post my stories, not for numbers but to keep my passion alive.
If you’ve been here with me before, I hope you’ll continue supporting me as I try again. Your encouragement means the world, and it’s what inspires me to keep writing and sharing my journey with you. Let’s begin again, together.
