Apple Blueberry Puree

Over the years, homemade baby food has become even more popular as parents look for simple, affordable ways to control ingredients and introduce real flavors early. The method hasn’t changed much, but the tools, storage options, and nutrition guidelines have evolved.

I always thought about making my own baby food with my son but it never happened. Then after my daughter was born, I decided to give it a try. We have a local farmers market and I had a week off when she started on solids, so I figured why not!

Between recipe books on baby food and common knowledge I begun to create a bunch of different recipes. I froze them in ice cube trays, but you can place some in baby food jars for immediate use!

In this guide, I’m sharing the same easy steps I have used for years, plus a few friendly tips for prepping, freezing, and storing baby food safely. Whether you’re starting solids for the first time or just want healthier options, this approach keeps things quick, budget‑friendly, and beginner‑proof.
