As a young lady who comes from a family that suffers from cancer in both bloodlines, I was highly interested in this topic. I remember learning that mass cell reproduction was the cause of cancer at the cellular level, but I never understood what caused this rapid reproduction. I begin to investigate the spiritual aspects of it and learned it’s an imbalance that occurs within. Which could possibly explain why doctors are not able to detect the cancer or much less the causing of it. My goal in this paper is to explain my experience of cancer as well share screening information from the American Cancer Society website.

For starters, the American Cancer Society starts by stating that a sign of cancer develops into symptoms when it has not been attended to. Most times the sign will appear in the form of abnormal bleeding or fever, or it will be a visible change in the person. For example, before my sister found out she had cancer in her brain, her right eye gradually went crossed and she begin to lose weight, at least from my views. My grandmother stated she noticed my sister was sleeping more, and to me that’s more of a symptom due to the fact she is a very active person. Like the Cancer Society stated fatigue as a symptom, my sister was experiencing her body communicating it was tired or shutting down. About a week later, she was hit by a car that exposed she had a deadly amount of fluid on her brain and that led to immediate surgery to where she had a tumor removed from her brain stem. Her condition is called Medulloblastoma, which is a cancer that develops as an embryo and sits in the cerebellum.

My sister went through surgery in Temple and was housed for about a month in a half to complete radiation on her spine. The doctors wanted to ensure none of the cancer had hit her spine due to the fact her walking had become misaligned. She is currently recovering and completing chemotherapy in Dallas once a month. She’s having to learn how to control her own body again, it’s like she was literally reset to the baby stage, but she didn’t lose any knowledge of her present age space.

All in all, if you notice you’re having abnormal pain, bleeding or trouble digesting it would be helpful to reach out to a doctor for a screening. As the ACS stated, sometimes you can have cancer and not experience any signs or symptoms until it’s fully developed. So be mindful of the changes in your body that involve changes in size, color, or even bodily functioning those could be more indictors that you need a cancer screening due. Lastly, be mindful cancer can spread like wildfires, to other organs.

Endometrial cancer is a cancer that is grown below the uterine lining. The uterus can also we described as the womb of a woman, the life giver or portal of the human souls. I hope to explain the symptoms to look for and explain the process of screening for one who is diagnosed with this condition.

I first saw cancer in the reproductive system when I found out that my great grandfather, the father of my grandmother, had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. He had an active reproduction system in his young years, he was able to create a total of 9 or 10 children, but he was also a pastor. Compared to his daughter, she had two children, but she was very productive in creating opportunities for her job and not so much herself. I said that to say, I believe on a spiritual level, they both needed to understand the balance between creating life out of responsibility and enjoying life out of enjoyment.

My grandmother had gone through about 20 years of raising my brother and I, and it’s almost like she suddenly found cancer once we were graduated from childhood. The first go around she told a few family members she was dealing with that condition, silently underwent surgery to have a ten-pound mass removed from her uterus and came out without having to complete any chemotherapy. The next go around things were slightly different. She had changes in her ability to digest her food. There had been a few months when I saw her, and when I saw her, she had lost a large amount of weight. Although, no one had let me know how much she was suffering, I knew she was sick. A couple more months later I found out she was doing consistent chemotherapy.

As you see, sometimes the signs are very clear and other times they don’t show until its too late to fix the problem. It’s affirmed this cancer is commonly developed after menopause. It’s important to be mindful if you catch yourself bleeding between menstrual cycles, you may need to schedule a screening. Professions encourage women to watch for pain during intercourse or a persistent pain while urinating. As far as screening, my maternal grandmother has undergone a minor surgery to have some uterine lining removed for testing. A woman wellness is also a great way to keep up with your vagina, pelvic exams can be very uncomfortable but necessary. There are various forms of treatment ranging from chemotherapy to having a hysterectomy, the complete removal of your uterus. I personally encourage individuals to tap into their bloodline to understand the things that could possibly affect them, but most importantly eat well and take care of your body so that your cells function at their maximum potential. I said that because this condition can be triggered by obesity or lack of estrogen production.
