Fertility can be seen as a bit complex issue to understand, but at Femicure, we try our best to help you know it well. We know the amount of excitement and expectations with which a couple plans for pregnancy. Today's generation is keener to plan children in their 30s. The primary reason for this is that there's a rise in the number of working couples in India. The 30's are also the age brackets when partners evolve and mature as a couple, and they also understand that their fertility clock has started ticking.

Getting pregnant throughout any period always has its own set of pros and cons. There are multiple aspects involved in pregnancy, and these include age, family history, medical history, STD's, frequency & timing of coitus, dietary & lifestyle habits, and more. In gender roles, males have a widened fertility age bracket with a primary role limited to conception. In contrast, for females, they have a relatively shorter age bracket, and their role extends throughout pregnancy.

Financial Security- As there's a rise in the number of working couples, it is safe to say that individuals are becoming financially literate. More and more women are entering the workforce today with their personal ambitions and goals. Couples understand that having a child also means taking responsibility for a new and young life. This decision has to be backed by sound financial planning for at least a child's initial years. The importance of this point can be understood from the fact that the moment a female naturally conceived or is termed pregnant, there are several tests, medicines, and procedures to be undergone for the next nine months. By the 30's, couples have time to save for pregnancy, childbirth, and the child's initial years.

Emotional Maturity– As per Indian marriage culture, the partners have already spent three or more years together when they reach their 30's. It is expected that throughout this period, they would have understood each other in terms of emotions, preferences, opinions, and other such aspects. No matter what age bracket, these aspects need to be considered before a couple decides to become parents. They need to have a healthy, stable, and smooth relationship. The current generation has realized this, and therefore believes in getting their lifestyles aligned before jumping to the parental stage. If ignored, then parental responsibilities will only act as stress when combined with relationship issues.

Increased Consciousness- It is a fact that age doesn't determine maturity. Still, it is rational and practical to assume that by 30's an individual already has enough experiences to be fully aware of themselves, understand their partner and children's views, and look for overall family welfare. Till the 30's, individuals and couples shall travel enough, establish a work-life balance, maintain healthy well-being, and be settled in their career and overall life. This also means being calmer and wiser enough to provide your child with the necessary support.

Parents vs Peers– When the couple has a baby in younger ages, they are likely to turn to their parents for every issue or advice regarding child development. But times have changed, and there always be a prevalent generation gap between the two generations. They might not have a parental couple in their peers and colleagues as well. Does this truly matter? Truthfully apart from the dependency towards your parents and a bit disturbed social life, this point doesn't stand out much. When you become parents, there are many changes. If your peer or colleagues have a parental couple, you are more likely to understand, accept, and adapt to various changes when assisted by them. Due to the generation gap, you'll end up disagreeing on certain relevant aspects too.

Slowers The Aging Process- This point is relevant for only females. As a woman, you know that going through pregnancy means your body will release several hormones, which then contribute to your aging process. Indeed, it can be corrected by several activities and medications, but it is easier said than done. Many females who delay pregnancy also consider this point as an essential reason.

These are among the few benefits that a couple has when they delay their pregnancy to the 30's. It is common and trending but note to plan it in the early thirties and not late thirties, as, with age, fertility does get affected. Pregnancies in the early 30's is famous because of the physical and emotional health, receiving proper prenatal care, and seeking support from peers leads to ensuring a healthy & happy pregnancy and baby.
