"Attack on Titan" is a popular Japanese manga and anime series created by Hajime Isayama. The story is set in a world where humans live in walled cities to protect themselves from Titans, humanoid creatures that devour humans without any apparent reason. The main character, Eren Yeager, lives in the city of Shiganshina with his friends Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert. After a Titan breaches the outer wall, Eren witnesses his mother being devoured and vows to eradicate all Titans.

During the Battle of Trost, the Survey Corps suffers heavy losses, and Eren is revealed to have the ability to transform into a Titan. He is captured by the military, who want to use him as a weapon against the Titans. Eren's childhood friend, Historia Reiss, is revealed to be the illegitimate daughter of the King, and the Survey Corps discovers a conspiracy to keep the truth about the Titans hidden.

The season ends with the revelation that the Titans are actually transformed humans, and that Eren's father injected him with a serum that gave him the ability to transform into a Titan.

The season ends with the revelation that one of Eren's close allies, Reiner Braun, is actually a Titan shifter from the other nation, and that he and his fellow warriors are after Eren for his Titan powers.
