1993 is a year I wish that I can forget but I just can't. You went to on the journey of a lifetime. You leaving earth to be an angel above us. Now, you watch over us every day.

Your passing was 33 years ago. I reminded this year because it like the speed of record that you wrote for us.

You were on this earth for 52 years and you live them well.

You decided that winter of 1993 would be the time that you would leave. Your body said that it had enough of medicines that kept you healthy for many years in your battle.

Bad enough it was wintertime with a lot of snow. You were so far away in a hospital. No matter how far we had to travel we were there for you for those 30 plus days.

We used many modes of travel to get you such as cars, trains and yes, we use planes to get to you.

Something we ran out widow cleaner for the cars because of the snow and salt that was on the road ahead of us. As for family who traveled by plane it meant the planes had to be deiced to take off.

It wasn't something that we want to do in those final days of your life, but we knew that it was coming sooner than later.

You to the battle to end which would be a day that we still remember to this day.

March 18, 1993, would be the last day that you would be on this earth in your body. But why of all days in March, it had to be that day. We were running out of time you see we had to make the painful choice of that day because it was my dad's choice to set you free that day.

We all said please not this day dad. Dad in his own special way wanted to remember your passing in his own special way. See it was his birthday that day and he turned 60 years old. But it was time to set your mother free. If she could see what she is hooked up to she wouldn't want to be that way.

We finally give in it to his request that was at 3:30 pm in the afternoon when the machines that kept you grounded to the earth were turned off. We did it in a special way. They only way that you would be proud of us. Each took a place along the line to power of the machine and had a countdown to pull the power core from that wall that day.

You really didn't want to leave us, but you did you gained your wings at 3:45 pm. You battled for 15 minutes to stay but your wings were ready for you.

We quietly left that room so dad could have his final moments with you. We went in one by one to say our good-byes before they would take you away from the room.

We cried and hugged each other. It felt like we knew that you were not in pain anymore. Life would not be the same without you in our world.

We had to come to terms that we must remember to stop and smell the roses along the way in our journey without you. Every time I see a rose I think that you had something to do with the rose growing into this world.

I don't think that people should be pushed into giving up that memory of the people that they have lost in their lifetime.
