The vulnerability of humane weakness

one who is focused has no distractions

We are all vulnerable to a weakness that is natural. From the very first moments of life, we are distracted by everything that surrounds our existence. Our parents raise us in the ways of their own up bringing but many pieces of this vast puzzle are left up to our own understanding of life.

This weakness is our natural ability to be easily distracted. A focused mind is a talent. For most of us, focus is something trained into the mind. It is not something we naturally do. There are mental tools that we use to overcome a distracted mind. There are also social tools we use to prevent people from distracting us. the undisputable truth is no matter what your purpose is in life the greatest opponents to your success are critical distractions.

When distractions take place accidents happen, things git misplaced, things git stolen, people get hurt, losses happen, our lives change for the worst. A man buys some beer at a local market, gits distracted by a half-naked woman and forgets to put his wallet back in his pocket. He doesn't realize what happened until he gits home, but by then it is too late. later on, he finds out that someone stole his identification

We are all vulnerable to this weakness. Even if you are focused, what about everyone else? In our close-knit social interactions' mistakes are reciprocal reactions that affect everyone at different times. This means it takes a team of focused people in order to prevent critical mistakes from defeating the purpose

A minor distraction when playing a sport does not carry the same consequences as a minor distraction during a police raid or during a hostile encounter with a momma grizzly bear. The irony in this comparison is those same distractions that cause us to lose football games are the same ones that cause us to lose our lives. A distraction is a distraction no matter what that distraction is.

A close friend of mines said" accidents happen when people are not paying attention to something they are supposed to be paying attention to.

So, if being easily distracted is a humane weakness, then what is the answer? The only way to train our minds building up resistance to distractions is by 1st: identifying all possible distractions and 2nd: developing a plan of action. There is no way around it. We have to brainstorm about how we can overcome these distraction

This vulnerability is not a secret. All worthy opponents engaged in any competition exploit this vulnerability to their advantage. Those same things that draw your interest can also be used to distract.

If you are interested in making a lot of money, I will distract you with a business proposal. If you are interested in model women, I will distract you with a beauty pageant. If you are interested in safety, I will distract you with your second amendment rights causing you to overlook situational awareness. these distractions cause us all to overlook important things.

No matter what we will always be vulnerable to this weakness, but at least if we decide to take our own focus serious, we can make a difference in our own lives. IF THESE OTHER DRIVERS FAIL TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE ROAD ITS NOT MY FAULT.

The easiest way to train focus is by playing games, card games, video games, sports, mindful ness, meditation, active listening, active observation, reading books, watching movies. what all these things have in common is they boost your attention span and reveal distractors in your environment. Most of the time a distractor is revealed in pursuit of a goal.

NOW LET US TURN THIS WEAKNESS INTO A STRENGTH
