Flawed Education
Today’s education system in the United States is flawed. Priorities are not properly set. This results in necessary skills not being taught, and other non essential skills being taught in their place. Sure, all tests and subjects could argue they are important, but we need to prioritize which are essential and which are optional electives.

Why It Is Good To Learn Many Language
A 2011 study found that students in rigorous high school programs that contained at least three years of foreign language instruction were more likely to improve their grades in college and to drop out less often. Another study showed that students of high school with two or more years of foreign language instruction performed better on the English performance tests than students without foreign language skills. Demystifying the Calculus
Calculus is often considered the bane of mathematics. Terrifying many students, this discipline provides a unwelcomed bounty of equations and techniques, which bombard the student into retreat. The emphasis of calculus on solving equations and finding areas and volumes, does not encourage the student to forge on or show its true range of applicability. And when any reader opens up a book in quantum mechanics or other subjects requiring advanced mathematics, one keeps seeing a curly S and a weird looking fraction defined in terms of objects written in terms of ‘infinitesimals’. Therefore this article has been written, to fill the void of mathematical literature explained without equations. Here I shall attempt to explain the Calculus, without using a single equation. Ready? Well, to infinity and beyond!

The Worst Day of Testing, Ever
After so many years teaching, some memories remain sharp even after the sandpaper of time wears them down. One of the rewarding things about teaching is having interns; it’s a chance to see the latest and freshest ideas coming out of the colleges. It’s easy to get in a rut when it comes to teaching, so I welcome these newbies to the profession with open arms. I’ve had good ones, I have bad ones, and I’ve had ones that just had the worst luck. One year, I thought he was going to melt down.

Does This School Educate
It was the first time I had switched schools in 11 years of my life. I loved my friends and teachers in my hometown. I didn't want to leave them all behind. But I lived in a small town, and there weren't any good schools for higher education. So even though I adored everything in my town, I had to move to a big city to continue my studies.

The Suffocation of Private School
The misfit feeling was one I had experienced before, but not to the extent that exists in the world of private schools. It felt like the judgement began before I even stepped a foot inside the school as I was driven to school in vehicles that had no heat, no air, and were barely holding on while others were driven to school in the newest models of cars and some students arrived in their own personal Mustangs. The element of secret keeping was in full effect right away since it was highly frowned upon to discuss who received scholarships to attend the school and of course, I had received a scholarship because that was the only way I was able to attend a private school.
