8. Check out Slubbook before buying a textbook.

Slugbook is great because they are you can get textbooks for very cheap.

During my college days, I literally got many textbooks for $1.

So again, this is a money-saving trick.

So you should definitely try it and it will save you a lot of money.

9. Never listen to music with words.

Now music is very beneficial for your focus, especially for some people, it can really help to study.

But one thing you should always keep in mind is that you should never listen to music with words or lyrics because the words will distract you and you will not be focused on your study.

Instead, listen to instrumental, classical or piano music.

There is a lot of music available on Spotify if you just search for study music.

YouTube also has a good set of music for focus.

I really like the nature sounds music, it really makes me feel like I'm in the nature and it really helps me focus on my studies, so check that out.

Different people will benefit from different kinds of music, so don't be afraid to listen to different kinds of music.

Also, when you listen to one kind of music over and over again, it gets boring and it doesn't really help you to focus on your studies.

So I highly recommend you to listen to different kinds of music and know what kind of music you like and then stick with it.

10. Keep your backpack ready

You should always keep your backpack ready with all the steps you will require for the next day's classes because the next day, you never know what the situation will be.

You probably wake up late, so it may be that you're running late to go to class and then you don't have time to fill all the stuff in your bag.

I highly recommend that you always pack all the stuff in your bag the night before.

One thing you should always carry with you is a water bottle, because you never know if the water that your college is well purified or not.

I highly recommend you carry a water bottle filled with pure water purified by a branded water purifier.

If you don't have a water purifier, then here is the list of some good water purifiers.

11. Join different social groups and clubs in your college

Nowadays, college is not just a place for academic purposes. You get to learn a lot of things and get to know your hidden superpowers, and college is going to help you to figure out these superpowers

How the hell is college going to help me out?

The answer is simple: the extracurricular activities held on the college campus will allow you to try different things of your interest.

For example, if you are interested in acting or drama, then the art department can help you. There will be some plays and dramas in the cultural program of your college, so you can participate in these dramas.

Not only that, during these activities you will meet the coolest people in your college.

Also, you will get in touch with other people outside college while doing these activities, which ultimately will expand your network.

12. Connect with the seniors

Connecting with seniors is very crucial when you are going to college for the first time.

The thing is, seniors have gone through the first year that you are going through and they can help you in many ways.

They can help you to find deals on nearby eateries on your campus. They can also help you with your studies and mentor you. You can also ask for some good notes from your seniors.

Overall they can be your best friends. So don't be afraid to connect with your seniors.
